I think this week I am up too- AF is really messing with me this round.

I like the weight loss as a percentage too! The end percentage will be truly incredible, to see how much was lost!

That is amazing! 102 pound loss! You must have felt incredible!

I think despite the fact that you are back up, you know you can lose the weight. You did it before. I hear you on the heartbroken and demoralized aspect- knowing you once lost all that weight and felt happy, and now your back up to where you are miserable, it isn't a good feeling. However, you had a person growing inside you! That is what is amazingly incredible. I could be able to find some justification for me weight, had I ever been pregnant and had a kid. I know and understand putting weight on from there. Mine is pure gluttony and laziness, no child did this to me. I did this to me, and instead of losing, all I seem to do is put it on.

But enough is enough! Together we will all motivate each other to keep on losing, even when the going gets tough!!!! woot2.gif

Jenny thanks for the perspective. She was my last baby (Maybe ? I think 4 is enough) she is such a miracle!!! Born on Labor Day due on Christmas (3months early) at 2 pounds 0 ounces. She was work every pound

Yup, after reading through the rest of the pages, seeing everything you have been through Cherina, and you as well Ann, yup, time to go to the washroom and take a moment. The strength you ladies (and your children) have is just incredible.

wow, she sure is a fighter!  and we were lucky in the gwen had no complications and we were really never scared for her health, other than the general fear of having your baby 2 months early.  i do feel very blessed.  i've heard stories since then about kids born less early (later?) and have severe complications from being premature.  scary.

I was born premature (6 weeks). My mom went in for a check up and they ended up doing an emergency c-section because my heart rate was minimal, and I had dropped weight. When they got me out, my mom said that the edges of the amniotic sac had started to go black. The doctor was certain had my mom not come in that day, I probably wouldn't have survived the night. I was 2 lbs, 15 oz.

My lungs weren't completely developed, and I had pneumonia in the hospital. Since then, as a child when I got a cold, I tended to get over it fairly fast. But now, every single time I get a cold, I get bronchitis and it lasts and lasts and lasts.

I also had a lazy right eye. I had surgery when I was two, to tighten the muscle. For the most part, it tends to be okay and no one can tell. When I'm really tired though, it tends to wander. Or, when I am super energized and have a lot of caffeine in my system, it sometimes tightens too much and my eye pulls in a bit. I seriously hate it and am very self conscious about it. But for the most part, people don't notice, or don't comment about it.

oh wow, jenny!  thank goodness your mom had that appt.  i also wonder what would have happened had i not gone in to the hospital that night.  i didn't have any obvious signs of labor but just didn't feel "right" - when i checked in at the ER (middle of the night) i even said i was sure i was just being a paranoid first time mom.  the main reason i went in was because i was supposed to get on a flight to AZ (to visit my mom for the weekend) and then a few days later another flight back home to MN.  i just didn't want to fly with how i was feeling.  i always wonder how far i would have made it.  like would i have had the baby on a plane?  in AZ?  or could i have made it home, since i eventually gave birth on the day i was supposed to be home already.  crazy!

Yeah, and my Mom felt fine. She hadn't noticed any changes or felt off or anything. Of course it was in the era of no cell phones, so my Dad comes back to pick my Mom up like an hour later and they are like yeah, you're actually going to have this baby today/ tomorrow.

That is crazy to think of where you could have been had you not checked yourself in to the hospital. You were meant to do that, not be on the plane or in AZ or wherever.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
