I found the socks and shoes amusing too... my naked toes were bare and proud- I had just gotten a pedi for my birthday two days prior :D Next week, probably won't be so proud cool.gif

i don't weigh until tomorrow but just wanted to check in to see how everyone else was doing. i've done okay with food ... not so great choices, but managing to stay within my 1200 calories anyway. when i say "not great choices" i mean awful things like pizza or chinese food, birthday cake, or eating nothing until 9pm then stuffing my face. bad bad bad. a few days, i *was* even over my calories, until i exercised. that said, i got to the gym 4 times this week, so on that front, not too shabby. my next challenge (besides actually eating RIGHT) is to get back into drinking water. that always helps me soooo much, but once i fall out of the habit, it's so hard to get back into. i also need to be more diligent with tracking my food intake.

i expect a big loss for me tomorrow bc that's how i roll. one huge week, and then it trickles. ann can attest, since she is the keeper of BDW secrets past.

Probably the only time I am ever happy to be called a loser :D

When I go wrong, I go all the way wrong too... make for a difficult day. But hey, we're only human and food can so oh so delicious!

I'm the same way... big loss right away, and then it's harder and harder to keep that same momentum going!

Good for you though!!! :D woot2.gif

I'm pretty sure I'm going to ruin the losing streak for everyone this week.  But today is another day.

I had my first AF in like 18 months and I binged on whatever I wanted.  I thought I wasn't being too bad, but this morning I was up 1.5 lbs.  We'll see what I am tonight b/c I forgot to take a pic and hopefully oatmeal for breakfast and a small lunch then a healthy dinner.  Hopefully I can be back on track now.

Just wanted to let you all know that I am heading to AZ to visit my mom this afternoon ... JUST ME!!!  NO KIDS!!  lol  I'm super excited.  It won't be all rest and relaxation though ... she owns a catering business and is super busy and I'm flying in largely to help, so I'll be busting my ass.  But it will still be nice to travel w/o kids.  I need a break!

BUT I am telling you because there will likely be a delay in posting the weekly results.  I get back Sat night so I'll try to have them done some time on Sunday.

Ann- I think, despite all of our best intentions, we cannot wait... kidding! take the weekend, enjoy spending time with your Mom (though you will be busy!) We will all be waiting anxiety to see how we all did together!

I have found that since I started recording what I am eating, and making a log of it, I don't go as crazy with what I am eating. While I may want too... and I did binge on an entire bag of chips last week (yikes!), I am much more able to convince myelf to not eat that slice of cheese, or eat those extra chocolate pancakes, just because they are there. I don't want to have to write it down.... and I don't want to lie and not write it down either, because then it's a completely wasted effort.

For those of you who just want to keep track of what your eating, I suggest creating a food journal. I just write down what I eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and any snacks in between). Plus I write down how much water I drink in a day, with a little tick mark for one cup. That has been the hugest thing for me- realizing how much I don't drink nearly enough water!

Also, stepped on the scale today and it read 181.5. I know it was wrong, and I must have shifted backwards and taken the weight off my feet or something, because that is sooo not me losing 6 lbs in 2 days. However, instead of stepping off and stepping back on again, I simply walked away because hey, why not let me be that skinny today. It was a good feeling to see that number, so it has kept me going all day, even knowing it isn't true at all haha.

You won't ruin it! I believe in you!! And even if there is no change or a small up- who cares! Your trying and that is what counts!! woot.gif

Excuse my ignorance but what is AF?

Whatever it is, let your binging go wild every once in awhile! If you don't let yourself have those small pleasures, then you go right off the wagon! cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
