Flow of reception/no dj

Recommended Posts

I'm so worried that the amplifier won't be enough to be heard :(. I guess if they're renting it out it's because it is. We honestly can't pay another $1000 and up for a dj so it's going to have to be enough haha. One of the best weddings I've been to they just had their laptop hooked up and they played what they wanted. I didn't sit down for a minute, danced all night  :D

Im also thinking of getting one of those bose speakers for the beach when we're all hanging out there, not to put it too loud but just to have some fun with our group. Do you guys think that would be too obnoxious?

I knew from the very moment I began planning our wedding that I could not have it at a resort, one of the reasons being bc they try squeeze every penny from you. Im so sorry you guys are being quoted those prices.

I am using Audio Cancun. They are giving me 5 hours of music for $640. The normal rate is 800 but I negotiated a deal of 20% off bc my wedding is not on a weekend.

They have all kinds of options available.

I don't have to pay an outside vendor fee bc Im having my wedding at a beach club , the beach club doesn't even charge a fee for use of my wedding! I have to buy my food and drinks from them.

We are going to use a ipod speaker for the ceremony music to avoid the extra headache I think,

Boss speakers on the beach in Mexico are not very loud so I hope it works out ok.

I plan on my wedding processional to be by The Killers so I do want it to be loud enough to have an effect.

I'm worried no one will be able to hear the officiant!

IDK but I hope all you beautiful blushing brides find a solution that works for you... and don't forget we are going to be in Mexico so that trumps any problems that may arise!:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
