Congrats on just starting! Do you have any ideas on what you want yet?

I am planning on going on the Carnival Legend (if though I have never been on a Carnival ship, I'm a RCCL girl...but, they didn't have a cruise for me sad.gif).

We are getting married on the beach in GC...we figured after going all that way, we might as well put our feet in the sand!

Hi Gresley! For us, it was process of elimination after making a few decisions. We first picked the month (April), then location (Cozumel - we are getting married onshore at Mr Sanchos) and we wanted a 4-day weekend cruise out of Florida. So I searched that criteria on all of the cruise lines and that left CCL and RCCL in the running. Then we looked at which weekend would be best for our families and that only left 2 CCL ships. We chose the Victory over the Paradise since it had an extra port instead of an extra sea day. There are so many options, but if you have any specific criteria you can narrow it down!

Have any of you ladies received the upgrade pricing list from carnival yet? I am curious how much the extra flowers and dj are. If someone could email it to me I would soooo appreciate it! I am planning my wedding summer 2014 on the carnival pride but prices arent out yet for summer so I have to wait. Also has anyone done the carnival registry? What did you think of it? I dont plan on doing a large registry thru a store so I wanted to mainly register on carnival so we can get help with the pictures and stuff.

Thanks!

Karen

I just requested the flower upgrade (I want green Calla lilies, pink peonies and white hibiscus) I really wanted white pleumeria but they don't carry it - anyway, they said that they have asked for a quote from the florist and once I receive it (about 2 weeks) I can pay in full and the price is guaranteed.

The DJ cost us 105.00  - if you really want the DJ book that right away, they only offer it tone wedding and you will have your reception in the Disco.

hope that helped

Just booked my embarkation wedding in New Orleans on the Carnival Dream on June 22, 2014! 7-day cruise to Cozumel, Belize, and Roatan. My boarding pass invites are nearly done (just waiting to get a few more addresses from people to send out). It was hectic trying to figure out when & where to do it, but I feel more relaxed now that its booked. Also thrilled that we decided to get a spa suite... I've only stayed in interior cabins on previous cruise. I'm getting excited now... More for the cruise than the wedding though. I've never really been the girl that dreams of her wedding day. My mom was actually surprised when we said we were getting married. She always figured she would just get a call one day saying we eloped in Las Vegas or something. She didn't really expect me to have a "real" wedding. I'd be fine with a courthouse wedding, but FH wanted a more traditional ceremony. But that's why we love the destination/cruise idea... It's really the best of both worlds. Small, simple, can have out family there without getting too big and crazy. And minimal wedding planning. I love it. We have both our immediate families (parents, siblings, nieces/nephew) joining us on the cruise. We are inviting about 20-30 others, but we expect only maybe 5-10 will actually come. And some of those will probably be non-sailing. That's fine though... As long as our immediate families are there we are happy.

I am getting married July 2, 2014 on the Carnival Fantasy Leaving out of Charleston, SC. I chose July because both my fiance and I are teachers and we wanted to make sure all of our teacher friends will be out of school. We booked our wedding last week. I am SOOOO excited!

I'm a March 2014 bride. We're getting married on Royal's Jewel of the Seas sailing out of San Juan. We wanted a different itinerary and only one day at sea which is why we chose that one. Is anyone else getting married on Royal?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
