Yeah, the Hard Rock is one of the pricier resorts... we were looking at it because the pictures and reviews looked great but we don't want to ask our friends and family to fork out that kind of moolah, so we looked elsewhere. I'm not sure if you are located in the US or Canada... travel arrangements work differently... first off is to get a travel agent and see about getting quotes. Spread the word to those you want to invite to give them notice... we started our wedding planning in October, got quotes in November, and chose the resort in December. Now we have to wait until the spring to book anything because here (in Canada) flight schedules won't be posted until then, and the tour operator won't let us leave a deposit before then. I wish you the best of luck in your planning!

My original plan was to marry at the Hard Rock and yes it's beautiful but also pricey. My friends who are Dominican informed me to have my wedding on a resort that would give you the feeling of being in carribean. Hard Rock is too Americanized. I will marry at the Ilberostar Bavaro, it was 400 dollars cheaper for each room oppose to the Hard Rock and it's beautiful! I booked my Wedding reservations last May and will marry this July. I have 18 rooms with 2 or 3 guest in each. Ilberostar Bavaro's packages are inexpensive verses the Hard Rock. So, do some research before booking with the Hard Rock. Punta Cana has many beautiful resorts to chose from.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
