Help! I need a professional Makeup/ Hair artist for Wedding in Punta Cana!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello! I'm new to the board :) I'm getting married at the Pardisus Palma Real and staying in The Reserve April 15th 2013. I'd like to hire a professional hair/makeup artist that I could pay by the hour to stay with me for a few hours to touch up my hair and face as we take pictures. My finance and I are eloping alone, so,I want to go all out on the photographs. I'd like to wear my hair down for the ceremony... But given the heat, I'll need someone to to an updo after a bit ;) I've already contacted Krystie Ann and she has a wedding booked that day. Does anyone have any other contacts in that area??? Thank you, I'm desperate!!! Lol

HI NEandLovingIt,

The two names I found that do makeup/hair in the punta cana are:

- Krist Ann - (She didn't give me quote because she will not be in the Punta Cana area in July 2013) her website/facebook page is:

- Indira Sanchez - her website/facebook page is:

I have quotes if you want them PM me! I've decided I'm just going to with the spa at my resort. Indira's quotes came out to be a little over my budget and I would have to pay another vendor fee which I'm trying to avoid because I have enough already. I heard the spa do a great job and my bridal party is pretty big so I'm going to try and push for them to get us ready in my suite.

Hi there. Are you looking for a hairstylist and makeup artist from DR? Or are you thinking to bring someone with you for that service?

Hey Mady!

I have decided to just stick with my resort spa for hair and make up. But I do have a name of a very good make up artist in DR. She works in the capital but she does go to Punta Cana. Her name is Indira Sanchez - her email is indiramua@gmail.com and her facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/indiramua

She was a bit out of my budget. She quoted me $200 for my make up and $100/each for my bridesmaids. Hair was $75/per person. I would have also had to pay my vendor fee of $150 for her to come in the resort. So I'm just sticking with the spa. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
