I live in Calgary, I asked that my bachelorette be planned in Banff. It's great to get out of the city, pretty cheap for a weekend away. The best part about having it in Banff, everything is within walking distance and bar hoping if we get bored at one place.

I think we are going to Banff too. I live in Lethbridge, but the girls are scattered all over the place.

I had asked for Moose Jaw weekend, actually, but I think the girls decided it was too far away. Banff will still be good though.

I am having a low key bachelorette party at the resort. We are doing this because everyone is long distance! I live in LA and most of my wedding party and family is in Washington, DC and Baltimore. I wanted to have something low-key and (somewhat) memorable.

We are calling it a "Pink Party with the Bride" for me and "Cigars and Cognac with the Groom" for my fiance (I think he is having a bachelor party in Vegas so this is just something for the guys to do).

So, for the Pink Party we are inviting guests to wear VS Pink or comfy pink (colored) clothing. We are hosting it in a suite and we will have sparkling cider, champagne and desserts. I don't know what's going on other than that my maids are planning the rest:)

As far as activities in the Riviera Maya, you can't go wrong with a snorkeling excursion. There are a number of catamarans that operate out of the marina at Puerto Aventuras that go out on day trips, and take you to good snorkel spots. Akumal has good snorkeling right off the beach. As others have mentioned, both x-plor and Hidden Worlds are really cool. X-plor is a slicker operation with various different activities. Hidden Worlds is a bit more down home, but their caves are unbelievable. Truly spectacular. If your looking for a more tradition bachelorette, I would highly recommend Playa crawl. http://www.playacrawl.com we did that a few days before our wedding. It's basically a guided club crawl through Playa where you don't have to wait in lines or for drinks. some of the clubs are kind of cheesy, but our group of 15 had a blast. They will also come pick you up at your resort.

Definitely heard about it, but I cannot say I have been there. It sounds like it would be good for a stagette... and two of the places we have stayed before had buses going there from the resort, so that is handy too.

YESSSSSSS ITS SO MUCH FUN! Thats what I was talking about when I said I went on a bus tour that took us to three spots. We stopped at senor frogs, pink elephant, and Coco Bongos- We stood at the other spots for about an hour, hour and a half and stood at Coco Bongos for the rest of the time. They do an amazing show with trapeze artists, impersonators. I would recommend looking into the party bus because it was $75 per person for three stops at three different clubs/ lounges with all drinks included, door to door pick up and drop off at your hotel and the live show at Coco Bongos. I went with my fiance as a vacation and it was just him and I. I can only imagine how much fun it would be with my girls. I actually have pictures- We stood at Secrets Capri and initially wanted to get married there and the plan was to use the party bus for our bachelor/ bachelorette parties but we switched our destination to DR. I'll put the pics of Coco Bongos below- Its def a must if you like to party for a bachelorette:

It's with Olympus Tours and you are looking for the Party Hopper bus for Cancun- That's the one that stops at Coco Bongo- there are other ones to other areas as well

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
