Recommended Posts

ive heard on other websites and forum that it can take a few weeks to get a response from them which can be frustrating although this is supposed to be because they spend a lot time with you while you are thee to make sure everything is perfect I suppose I can live with that ha. Have you any ides yet in date location etc? oohh and big congratulations xx

We just spoke to our travel agent yesterday and we're going from April 5-12 2014. Wedding date set for April 7, but I haven't spoke to the coordinator there yet.

I'm wondering what the private dinner reception prices are like. I heard it includes a dinner in the a la carte restaurants but it isn't private

Congrats to you both!!  The only planning that I have done is to determine what resort I wanted the wedding to be held at.  My fiance and I travel to a resort in Negril yearly so having the wedding in Jamaica was a no brainer for us.  What I didn't expect to be so hard was trying to narrow it down to one resort. It seems like everyone I looked at there were pros and cons.. I really wanted to be married in Negril on the beach at Bloody Bay and needed to find someplace that was not "couples only".  Our adult kids will be coming along as well as nieces and nephews. My top choice was the Riu Tropical Bay in Negril but it can get pretty expensive and I did not like the backup location if it happened to rain, however the beach (Bloody Bay) is amazing!  The Lady Hamilton is so much better for our budget as I'm sure we will need to assist the kids with the travel expenses. We can also book a Honeymoon Suite for much less than the standard room at the Riu. The big downside is the beach is nowhere near as pretty as it is in Negril.  I have picked the Lady Hamilton because I could see myself getting married at any of the locations they provide. Even if it happened to rain the backup location at the spa looks beautiful!  Right now I am thinking of choosing the gazebo overlooking the ocean as my location. I can't wait to hear back from them regarding our date.  I know that it's going to be a pretty popular date (12-13-14) so that is why I am trying to reserve it so far in advance.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
