Riu Palace Peninsula 2013 Brides

From what I can tell from the website, they only offer choice of 3 time slots...12, 2, or 4.

We originally wanted Half Moon Bay in Jamaica, but it was crazy ridiculous expensive. So we got Riu Palace Peninsula on 6/18/15. Haven't gotten a contract yet, but were planning on the royal package. The website says it's for 20 guests, and $25 per guest over that amount.

Hi I am getting married in July 2015 and I I'm going crazy. I have read through the posts over and over trying piece together as much info as I can but still have so many questions. I am confirmed for the caprice package but if I have more than 40 guest I think it have to be a private event meaning I would have to pay $80 per person for the outside event plus 2830 for the package that's a bit much. Does anyone know if the semi private ceremony comes with an option for dancing?

Hi everyone! I booked my wedding at the Riu Palace Peninsula and wanted to book a photographer and d.j. that wasnt from the resort. My wedding coordinator is not answering me. Are we allowed to do this? and if you are..how much would you have to pay for a vendor fee if you need too? If someone could answer me that would help a lot!!! Thank you! :)

I am getting married at riu palace peninsula july 2015 and we are getting so excited. we will have 60 guests and plan to do the seimi private dinner at the steakhouse. The dinner is not until 845pm so im trying to figure out how we are going to spend the time between the 4pm ceremony and until dinner. i was thinking of doing a cocktail hour and a mariachi band in between. does anyone else have a time plan or ideas.

Also ladies please post pics of your shoes!!!! I cant figure out what to wear but I am leaning toward some blinged out sandals!!

Thanks!

Hi, we have recently returned from our wedding here. I wore medium height heels for the ceremony and then changed to sandals for our photos - glad i did my heels were not practical for either the grass or sand :)

@@Jaycee272 Hi I would love to hear more details about your wedding!! We are on countdown mode...38 more days to be exact. Although I've been reading in this forum that you shouldn't worry if your WC hasn't contacted you, but did I mention we are 38 days away from our wedding and we haven't heard any-thing!! :( Loved to hear some info, see pics...etc!! Congrats!! xoxo

Hi MrsRobertson. What is the date of your wedding? I am getting married the same weekend I think. I have not heard from the wedding coordinator at all. Any idea how much money all this will cost? Did you book hair and makeup?? I am starting to panic.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
