Congratulations on getting married! We are getting married May 17th 2013 at The Royal in Cancun and couldn't be more excited! I wanted to reach out to other brides-to-be and ask a few questions - hopefully for additional guidance!

My wedding coordinator has been accommodating - but it takes her days/weeks to get back to some of my questions. Any suggestions on how to get answers back quickly?

I was wondering if anyone has reviews on the DJ/Photographer at the site. We just booked Dormixx and requested a photographer - but am anxious to receive any tips on their performance or suggestions on how to make these processes easier!

We are thinking about upgrading to the lighted dance floor. It just looks so fun!

Any idea if the staff sets up the decorations you bring for the wedding - and if you are responsible for picking them up at the end of the night? I am also curious if other brides spent money on extra decorations for the reception through the resort.

Any suggestions on good spots for the after party following the reception? I'd like to add this to my agenda!

I haven't booked the food, flowers, etc. I am assuming I have to do that relatively soon - but haven't heard back. Any suggestions on the best options?

Happy planning and best wishes to all!

Hello! Did you ever find any information out about Funever photography? I am wondering if they are any good, or if there are better deals elsewhere.

Would love ANY tips anyone can give me!

We booked Funever through The Royal - as they were the on-site photography company. After picking the middle package and extending the hours to fit in our ceremony and reception - the cost came to around $1,500.

We started to read the reviews and realized that most were sub-par. As a plan be, we have decided to fly in a photographer for two nights. He is a personal friend - so we are saving on the actual photography fee. But pictures our important to us and nothing I read about Funever is worth it.

I've heard Del Sol is amazing - but not cheap. Their photos look awesome though.

Maybe The Royal will wave the $350 outside vendor fee is you can negotiate something?

            Hope that helps!

Thanks for sharing. I am just so torn on what to do. That $350 vendor fee is the WORST! Thats what is putting me on a budget for photography because I have to take that on! I wish I could see some of their work other than what they (The Royal Cancun) shows me.

Del Sol was way out of my budget : (

When is your wedding? I am flying a photographer in - agreed to pay for flight and two nights. Price came to around $1,200. Maybe that is an option for you? Depending on when your wedding is - I could always share my photos with you to see what you think!

My wedding is June 21st, 2013. Sounds like you did figure out a better deal so that's good! I have emailed several photographers and found one or two with good prices but that stupid vendor fee ends up ruining it. I might just cross my fingers and hope for the best with fun ever. What time is your wedding and which location? Beach, gazebo?

I am getting married at the Gran Caribe in May 2013. You should check out this thread out: http://www.bestdesti...l-cancun-brides As far as Funever photos when we did our site visit we saw some of their work and were not impressed at all. We had thought about getting engagement photos while we were down there but didn't care for their work so we decided against it.

That bad? No wonder they don't offer a lot of samples! I'll check out that thread. Thank you : ) it's so nice to talk to other brides getting married at the same resort!!
