Hi All - I was recently proposed to on Christmas morning! Best day ever.  Still can't stop staring at my ring.  I always knew I wanted a destination wedding and now I can finally start planning.  We are leaning towards St. Lucia.  I have done my research on resorts and found that the most beautiful resort (and priceyest) is Jade Mountain.  We plan on inviting a large amount of family members and need the prices to be reasonable. Any help on St. Lucia resorts would be greatly appreciated. Also, any info on group rates are also welcome.  We plan on taking a mini vacation to visit St. Lucia and get a feel of the island. This day will come only once and I really want my wedding to be spectacular!

Congratulations on your engagement. Sounds like you are planning on a fabulous day. St. Lucia is beautiful. 

 

With the prices you are going to see on St. Lucia, you might consider some of the boutique properties near Playa del Carmen, Mexico such as: Le Reve, Esencia, and The Viceroy. Check out Ana y Jose and Be Tulum in Tulum. You might find that the top resorts on the Riviera Maya are the same price or even a bit less than the top Caribbean resorts. Plus, the Riviera Maya is cheaper and easier to get to from North America.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
