We're getting married 3/24/13 which is spring break week for our 12 year old son.  We always going on a spring break cruise so we decided to add the wedding to our annual routine.  Hubby is military and we're moving to Korea in June so this will be out last vacation in the states too!  We're planning a embarkation ceremony on-board the Carnival Glory in Miami.  We've been using our wedding website (danielandfelicia2013.com) to communicate with our guests.  I sent a electronic save the date and I just finished up our formal invitations today.

Next item on the list is putting together our wedding favor gifts.  I think we're going to do luggage tags, prefilled rum runners and a magic bullet which are all necessary items on every cruise we go on.  But I haven't made my final decision.

Congrats DeskofGarcia...How did the wedding go?  You may be the first 2013 bride of this forum!  Inquiring minds want to know! :)

We are using a TA for the cruise itself, and a Wedding Experience for the wedding/reception. We sent out our STD in early September with all of our travel agents info on it, and also letting people know that we will be having the ceremony, and reception while the boat is still in port so non-sailing guests can come on as well. we invited 125ppl all together. So far we have about 20 people that put deposit down on cabins, but we are expecting most to be non-sailng. I want to start maing my OTT bags, but wanted to wait till we had a better idea of who is def going to sail. What is everyone giving out as favors? Anyone else using the Wedding Experience for the planning?

Hey Janele!

I just finished my OOT bags/ wedding favors (that I found on discountmugs.com).  I got 150 drawstring bags for $307.   They have our monogram and text on them- I just love them! :) My budget is $5/bag. I bought tissue (8/$1), hand sanitizer (3/$1), advil (3/$1) all from the dollar store.  I'm going to add a CD with meaningful songs to us, a welcome letter and itinerary, and add bottle of water, chips, and cookies once I get to FL.  I am well under budget, so I'm excited! :)

What is everyone else doing for OOT bags?

Hello everyone - My name is Tiffany and my handsome fiance and I are getting married on RC cruse lines in September!  We are planning to get married on the third day of sail but I have not had the best of luck with my "wedding planner" yet.  When I call they always tell me that they usually don't begin discussing until 45 days out from your cruise!  I am getting a bit nervous about that because I am ready to set our details a little more in stone.

So far 5 couples have booked their rooms to celebrate with us! <3

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
