Adehaarte, I'm having my favours mailed to the resort instead of mailing them to me and then dragging them down there. The resort will give you the proper shipping address and then they will hold them for you until you get there, just give them a heads up of whats coming and when  you expect it to arrive. I was told they don't charge for this either which is nice! But maybe double check with your coordinator because again that may be different for everyone!

You really don't get a reception with any package. You are paying for the ceremony, for the reception you get a dinner in a restaurant with normal tablecloths, unless you qualify or pay for a private event. You have to pay $300 per table to match your theme for the reception, other than that is just the white everything, just like the restaurants.

I am getting married at moon palace Nov 2014, I booked the exotic peacock package. Has anyone booked a theme package? I am wondering what the complimentary reception looks like?

Hi brides I am wondering if anyone knows anything about what documents need legalising when there has been a change of name. I was told none needed doing all I needed was to scan our passports n send them providing I don't mind not having our parents names on birth certificate but then I got this email Please answer the following questions in order to inform you which documents you need to legalize (in UK) and translate once you arrive to the Resort (Mexico) Bride Groom Divorced ? ? Widowed ? ? Changed name ? ? Adopted ? ? If you answer yes to some of those questions, please legalize the document according to what you select (this must be done in UK): Divorced: Bride &/or groom must legalize their absolute decree. Widowed: bride &/or groom must legalize the proof of death (death certificate). Changed name: Bride &/or groom must legalize the deed of change of name. Adopted: Bride &/or groom must legalize the adoption certificate. If you answered YES to any of the questions above please also legalize (get an apostil for) your birth certificates. NO EXCEPTIONS. All of these documents must be translated once bride & groom arrive to the Resort. (This must be done in Cancun) NO EXCEPTIONS. If neither of bride & groom have been married before or widowed or has changed names or are adopted we have 2 options for the legal wedding. 1. If bride & groom want their parents names on the marriage certificate Bride & groom must apostille (legalize) their birth certificates (this must be done in UK), once they do this I will ask you to scan and send to me both of bride & groom birth certificates and passport ID and once they arrive to the resort they must translate their birth certificates to Spanish (this must be done at the Resort) 2. If bride & groom donâ€t mind not to have their parents names on the marriage certificate Then just please scan bride & groom passport ID and birth certificates and send them to me at least 2 months before the wedding date. Can anyone shed any light please? :) thanks

I just got back from my site inspection and I was told that my standard reception would include white chairs with round tables with white tablecloths and white napkins.  There were weddings taking place and each of them had the standard package and it looked wonderful against the ocean and greenery.  It looked very clean and crisp!  You will also have a private bar with bartender and waitress. You can always rent items from Zuniga (sp) to add anything you would like.  We are going to add lounge furniture and up lighting.  Hope this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
