Thank you!!

We did not honeymoon... we were afraid the family would stay longer and interrupt our honeymoon! We will be going back in July--Probably the Sun palace! We chose not to do video-- although after seeing all of the photos and how well everything turned out I kind of wish we had the money to hire someone. Its just so expensive. it was hard enough to find photography under $2000.

We rented the coral table clothes-- should have bought and brought them though. They were light weight and ended up costing us $30 a table cloth! I bought the gold runners from an Etsy shop, plastic LED candles from Target in the garden section and the small shells and starfish on clearance with coupons at Michaels Craft store. We made paper cut out wraps for all of the candles using a paper puncher from Michaels and it created a really simple and inexpensive candle lanterns. If I can get everything unpacked I will be selling the 5 gold runners that I used and the candles, they are super light weight! Let me know if you're interested. Look on craigslist for tablecloths you'd be shocked to see how cheap they are on there! People are giving away those things!! If you get light almost sheer ones they'll look great over the basic white linens that they offer. We also bought out chair ties from craigslist for less than $5-- all 100 of them!!!! I have navy blue chair ties if you'd like them as well. Didn't end up taking them with us.

If you don't hit the free unlimited events don't fret. Just make dinner plans with your guests during your stay-- they wont even know the difference between a private event and enjoying a nice dinner with you and your FI. Theres no real rehearsal even needed!

Oh that's a great idea thank you, I would love the chair ties. I would also love an outdoor reception but fh wants a ballroom, so we will slee paying more to make it look like something. I'm worried that the ballrooms look dated since many people aren't choosing yo use them @@jackielemman

My colors are navy and gold with hints of pink. Did the chairs come with the cushions?

Everything came out great and you look beautiful!   Thank you for posting your pictures.  We are having our reception at Tucan Terrace and were thinking of getting the columns and string lights.  So glad you posted a pic so we can see how it would look.  Love it.    Let me know if you do decide to sell your gold table runners or coral sashes.  Would be interested in them!   Also, where did you get your starfish/ seashell chair hangers from?    I thought about making some not sure how hard its going to be.

Also, where did you find the mosquito bracelets?

Also, how windy was it on the terrace area?   my vases I'm using are made out of cardboard boxes just seeing if I should put something inside so they don't blow away or do you think they would be okay?

I made the starfish chair ties. I will be selling those as well. Private message me so I have it in my inbox. I will work tomorrow on inventory and getting everything pictured. I'd be glad to sell everything to you at a great price. I made everything and coupon like crazy so my costs were relatively low!! The starfish are the most expensive items!!

It was windy at the terrace. I would recommend using some kind of weight in your center pieces.

I forgot to mention that we had individual packets of powdered gatorade, Aleve and Pepto available at our hangover breakfast. I have never seen people flock to pepto and gatorade so fast. You cant find gatorade on property!

The pepto came in handy... everyone needed it after a few days of unlimited eating and drinking! :(

Redbulls are also $6 a can in the gift shop. They don't have them anywhere else on property. If you have people who like energy drinks, let them know to bring their own!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
