@@november15 how many rooms did you block? I originally thought 5 hat say I block 10 rooms and need more, I would have to pay to block additional rooms. I asked my travel agent and she said that additional rooms can be added with no problem but won't be blocked. I may still ask to block off additional rooms if our rooms fill up. Is the resort sold out? Are the rooms you're requesting no longer available? It seems weird that they wouldn't let you add more. One travel agent I spoke to, said we would have to pay to add more rooms. I have heard that moon does sell out and seems to be popular for weddings. Did they give you an explanation on why they couldn't? What items are you waiting for pricing information? Could it possibly be that the deadline for final payments have passed?

Our wedding was yesterday and to put it nicely we were not at all happy with how everything was coordinated and the fact that we were lied to by the coordinators. It was a disaster. From the priest to the decor company; everything was a mess. The only people that truly came through were the special effects company Promedsa which really helped us make the best of a shitty situation. Full review to come.

This is slow torture for a bride!!! lol.

Sorry ladies! I will likely write my review this weekend. We just got back last weekend from honeymooning and went straight back to work.  Also, I have been putting it off a bit because i just want to move on and not stress myself by thinking about it. You will get all the details soon!

If you've booked already i just highly suggest you stay on the coordinators' asses (especially the onsite) and make sure you get all your questions answered and in writing.

If you haven't booked i highly suggest you take your business elsewhere.

So sorry that you had that experience. At least you can feel good about giving back to the community and perhaps saving another bride from a negative experience! Trust me, we ALL thank you in advance!

@@TheBHolders it was no mix up. We got a block. Added 5 more. But then all of a sudden we rec'd notice that it's sold out from our agent. So we told everyone no more rooms but the hotel had them! Like over 1,000. Frustrated we asked the hotel for more but it is a long process to try to get more. Be very careful, have your family sign up first , possibly do your invites in waves . Very sad about this experience and embarrassment it caused us . Annoyed people wait so long to book too. Stay on top of it and make a hard RSVP deadline.

I am three weeks from departure and have been turned over to my on-site coordinator. I received my final PO yesterday and it is very detailed with all of our preferred requests listed. So far, I have had a fabulous experience with Abril my off site coordinator!!

Will let you all know how the next 3 weeks go!

I am quite excited.... stressed... and ready for the trip! I do need to start packing soon!!

Congratulations!!!! I hope your day was really special! I would really love to see pictures of the Tucan Terrace if you get the chance. If you see any areas on property that would be great for bridal pictures let me know!!

Many thanks and enjoy your honeymoon!

I'm at LeBlanc now on my honeymoon but we are going to Moon Palace today to visit the resort since we've never been.  Let me know if you need me to take any pictures I'll be happy to do it and share later on.  ;)

Yes please take as many pictures as you can :) we weren't able to visit moon palace, but did visit Playacar palace and I didn't even think to take pictures. It just smelled so wonderful there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
