Hey everyone!!! I have a quick question. Has anyone had the kids stay free added to there wedding contract? We are getting married in December and have 85+ guests and want that in there but they only offer it for summer months. Its kind of a big deal for us as we have a lot of people that want to make it a family trip. Thank you for any feedback :)

Hi! From what I understand that is only available in the summer but since you have such a big group maybe you can use it as a negotiating point

@@risken - Please post if you are successful with this! We have a few kids and the kid rate is a bit of a sticking point. My sister is going to have to pay over 1000 for my 3 year old nephew

Can someone also please send me the approved Palace vendor pamphlets. I'd love to see prices, etc. so I can start to plan. Thank you! lilyluu 83 @ gmail . com (no spaces)

Hello everyone and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I have been reading through all the Mayan/Cancun threads trying to decide on a wedding venue! MP might be it. My TA is really pushing MP and so far from what I've read people seem happy with the resort and their wedding services. Anyone have any advice or recommendations for me while I'm still in the planning stages? I'm hoping to have an Aug 2015 wedding with approximately 120-150 guests.

Also, do you guys think it will be too hot in August to have an outdoor reception? I love the idea of it but it just might be too uncomfortable to be outside for dinner and dancing for 4-5 hrs.

Hello ladies,

Does anyone know the cost if there are more than 30 guests for the ceremony, cocktail and dinner? Also, what the cost would be if anyone books outside of the room block? Thanks!

Hi there,

I was in the middle of booking Moon Palace for my wedding, however, I've been told that because we want our guests to book through the travel agent, and as we are not blocking off rooms for our guests we are not intitled to get the promotions. I am a little sad to hear this as we were super excited to start our wedding journey at this resort.

Has anyone heard of this? Or does anyone know how these promotions work?

Thanks!

Alicia

If you qualify for unlimited events then you will get the cocktail hour and 2 hour reception free!

I think the 30 people you are referring to is the dinner reservation for up to 30 people.... this is not needed if you are having a private reception.  Typically only people that have a small wedding (20 or less) use this option.

There shouldn't be a charge for more than 30 people unless they have changed the packages.... we had 41 people and didn't have to pay anything for our reception!

@@shan0487 - Wouldn't that just be for the 30 people included though? What if we had more? Thanks :)

Oh that would be amazing! We were trying to work out our budget, and I thought we'd have to pay extra for any people over 30!

We are aiming for the 75+ room nights :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
