No, you only do the blood test if you are getting legally married in Mexico.  Symbolic ceremony = no blood work :)

Hi Ladies,

I am getting married in July 2014 at moon palace, just wondering about the blood test. If i'm already legally married, do i still need blood test?

Hi All! We are getting married in October! Couldn't be more excited. Are any of you planning day excursions or activities for the entire group or letting everyone plan their own activities while they are there for your wedding week?

I hope all of your planning is coming along smoothly!

@@agarcia1 We did the Italian buffet for our wedding and it was SO delicious! My guests all really enjoyed it and there were so many choices for even the picky eaters to choose from (like me!)

Oops that was meant for @@ckl22 :) :)

Thanks for your response. I am totally a picky eater so this makes me feel better!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!  Mine is 2 months away eekss!! I am having a welcome cocktail hour on the day most of my guests are arriving so everyone can meet each other that hasn't already.  I am also giving everyone the option to join me and the soon to be hubby on 2 excursions. One of the reasons I picked Moon Palace is the resort credits so I want to encourage guests to use them. I am planning on doing a group swim with the dolphins on site and the ziplining excursions since that is only a half day. Other than that I am going to let everyone fend for themselves if they want to do anything different.  :)

BTW I can't wait to see all of the pictures from each of your weddings. I hope to see some other brides during our stay October 8th-15th!

Thanks!!

We have discussed doing something similar. Do you have a sheet of the excursions that resort credits can be used for?! My WC is really polite but pretty slow at returning emails! Common problem that many brides complain about!  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
