Hi everyone, my wedding is booked for November 25 2014 at the moon palace. We have just been assigned a wedding coordinator but haven't spoken to her yet. Any advice for the best questions to ask? I see above they can change your date and time that is scary!

Yes 39 of our 41 people booked directly through our travel agent and the other two booked last minute by other means.

Julie - Yes, I'm getting married in the chapel and got to see it. I'm also doing an indoor reception and saw the two ballrooms I want. Cocktail is still up in the air. Everyone is so nice.

Those of you that have menus, etc... Can you email them to me please? HCwedding@comcast.net

I'm editing/negotiating the contract now and want to close any loopholes through which they can unexpectedly charge me for things.

PS - The first draft they sent me sais they can change the Date, time and location of the wedding anytime. ?!!!! YIKES!! Was this on everyone's contract?

Hugs girls

Congrats!! what section of the hotel will you be staying at?

Hi charmedhk,

Our group will be staying in the Sunrise section. We're having the ceremony in the chapel at 5pm, cocktail hour on the chapel gardens at 6pm, and reception on the grand terrace 7-11pm.

How's your planning process going?

Girls - I'm so sad and almost ready to quit on Moon Palace. :(( Trying to sort out the Wedding Ceremony Contract with them has been a nightmare. Instead is removing a clause about an extra fee per hotel guest not booked through the group booking, they add this: Any other item not mentioned in this agreement is not part or included in the package, extra charges would apply. Did you girls have to go through all this?

Hey sorry it's been so long! Only 2 of our guests didn't book through the same travel agent. I was going to do what Shannon said and not mention anything and hope I don't pay extra for their dinner!

To be honest (I know I sound stupid/crazy) I've never seen my contract, my TA has all of that. They did tell me who I could use without being charged the outside vendor fee and I have all my emails in a file of what they have said the cost would be for the other vendors I've chosen. They seem like they wont go back on their word if you have it in writing so my whole wedding file is coming with me in case they try to change things up when we go to pay!

For the menus, did you want the one for over 50 ppl or the one for 50 and under?

Britt

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
