Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with trying to get a musician (or any outside vendor) for your wedding. I've read many different things, but what they have quoted me as a fee is the highest I've heard. I've been told it will cost me $800 to bring on site a musician!!!!! Would love to know anyone's experiences with that?

:)

Ok, so now... we may not be doing the catholic ceremony, but we still want the chapel. Turns out if somone else comes wanting a catholic mass they can boot us :(

Only issue with catholic is I'm Catholic and FI is not ... he's all for the christian mass (it's shorter, ha)

Any advice!?

I am not catholic, I do believe in god but have no church and do not go to church, and just to avoid being booted we went with a catholic wedding, I think it is prettier anyway :-)

Besides, the catholic church can have interfaith weddings, which means one is catholic the other is not. Good luck!

I am not a past bride but I went on a site visit, Nizuc is in the middle but all the entertainment is at Sunrise, specially if you have kids attending. I have my room block at Sunrise, ceremony and cocktails at Nizuc and receltion at Grand, that would be a wedding tour lol

Past Moon Palace Brides - which section of the resort would you recommend staying in?? I'm thinking Nizuc because it's in the middle but wanted any input :)

Mrs TobeD - How was the site visit?  My fiance and thought about doing it, but with the budget in mind we decided not to.   Also, where on the Grand side are you having your reception??  When is your date?  :) So fun!!

I'm dealing directly with the hotel bc we are using our friend's membership. We haven't booked or created a roomgroup booking yet. Now they are saying that not just will I NOT get the nights countd towards my room nights of the wedding benefits, BUT also that anyone that books outside of their 'group booking' will have a charge of $55 for the reception and $22 for the cocktail!!! Even though they will be staying at the hotel!!!! Has anyone heard of this?? Seen it before? They are driving me crazy.

Hey, from the other threads that I've read, if someone is a Palace Member and books, their room nights do not count towards the group booking. So essentially, the only people that count towards the nights is those that in fact book through the group booking and are not members of the Palace resorts.

I haven't heard of the second charges, only if the guests are staying at an off site resort, they will have to pay the daily pass to get in for the wedding. Is this what the coordinator is telling you? Seems a bit outrageous if they are staying at the same resort. Is that how they want to treat their members/even potential members? I wouldn't think so.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
