Cool! Thanks for the help!

I've looked at Leigh's site and she's SO talented...gorgeous pictures...I bet you can't wait to see what your wedding looks like once it's got the "Leigh Miller treatment"! wink.gif

If you don't mind me asking...do you pay for the photography package in addtion to the travel costs etc. for the photographer? Or is all that worked into the fee she charges somehow?

I am soooo excited! It really makes me wish I had picked an earlier date - FI didn't think we could get everything planned - I know I could have with all of everyone's help here! Anyway ...

Leigh's travel costs are included in what I am paying her, so yes, I guess she added them into the package. When I was searching for a photographer some would give me one price and say it included travel fees, some would list it seperately, and some would just give their package price, then say I had to pay for travel, whatever it came out to be (usually around $1000-$1500 I think). Not sure if that helps or not ...

Lol! Yeah, it's such a funny thing this whole wedding business...you try to give yourself plenty of time to plan (no sense adding to the stress w/ a deadline, right?) but then you get SO excited and you just want to do it and the BIG DAY couldn't possibly arrive soon enough...especially when you've got a gorgeous beach waiting for you!! And the dress...Is there anyone who doesn't want to wear their wedding dress all the time!?

Back on topic..

I very much appreciate your info. Definitely helpful - it's nice to get kind of a feel for things. But now I know that it just varies whether or not a photographer will build in travel costs, charge separately and so on. I really don't even know what Monica wants to do...she's just started talking about wanting to hire a photographer and the one I used is "taking a break", so that's out...which is a bummer 'cause we loved them! sad.gif

Of course I am excited about our wedding - but the nice thing is I am just as excited for the vacation aspect as well!

Dang - that's too bad. There are definitely a lot of great options out there though, which is nice. Who was she looking at? Not sure what her budget is - but there are a lot of great photogs you can fly to PV as well!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
