I bought my dress back in April.... Course I live in way north Alberta and had to make a trip to west Edmonton mall just to find the One I was looking for. It's an Alfred Angelo which is taking 8 months to arrive. So it'll get here in January which gives me lots if time to schedule another trip to Edmonton.... Plus I have some specific alterations/additions I want to get done.

Has anyone gone dress shopping yet? I am dying to go because I already have a few in mind I want to try on but I still think it's a little to early for the dress.
So any day now you could logically start dress shopping and give yourself lots of time so you don't limit you dress options at all.

Yes I am! I am not exactly how my TA was able to do it, but she was able to get us rates back in February! She worked with Air Canada Vacations as well as the resort to find us the best deal. Our guests have just put deposits down so far- they are due July 15. Everyone was very good about it being so early because of the great rate we are getting. Flights should be out very shortly if they are not already. My TA told me that a year ahead they should all be out.

Picked up my travel info at the TA work for my site visit on the 25th and she said we should be able to start seeing deals and booking for July 2014 by October!!!! Ahh I already have guests asking me when can they start booking. Definitely can't wait to go dress shopping but I want to shed a few pounds before I go! LOL in the meantime I will continue my shopping spree of wedding decor. Already purchased maracas, starfish for place cards, and passport covers for my bridesmaids and myself. :)

NICE!!! I leave on my site visit/vacation next Thursday! we are getting married at the Barcelo Maya Palace in Riviera Maya. I CANNOT wait to try on dresses. I don't know why I still think its a bit too early for me at least. I will probably go in October/November. LOL at you looking at tons of shit and lists because thats exactly what I do all day!! Between this forum and pinterest, I am obsessed! What the hell am I going to do after all the planning is over!!!!!

I wouldn't wait for the dress unless you want to go off the rack - they told me to guarantee I have the dress and time for fittings and alterations by July 20th I have to order a dress by the end of August!! Haha and yea I just look at shit - are you looking at other places while down there? We're staying at Dreams but checking out Occidental - 2 in 1 lol I feel like I should have more done - but I don't lol

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
