Hello I am also planning on getting married in July 2014 , thinking on the gran bahia principe. Have sent "save the months" out as dont have a set date as yet. Has anyone managed to book their date for July 2014 yet? Our TA advised this can't be done until April when prices will be realised. Suppose I'm just impatient :) Xx

Congrats!!!! We already set a date for July 25, 2014. The only thing with this resort ( Barcelo Maya) is they put the date on hold until you book your stay which I think is kinda silly because like you said we can't book any flights for July 2014 yet. We haven't sent save the dates yet either. Planning on sending them early August since we are going for a site visit in July. I am also impatient I want to start the actual planning so it can feel more real!

Yay July 2014 Brides!

I booked my wedding for July 1 2014 at the Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe. 

So far: 

- booked our date with the resort

- chose our wedding package

- chose our wedding party

- invited our guests (via email due to the short notice for our GREAT group rate)

- most guests have put deposits down 

- booked our trip!

 

I have found that choosing the resort was the hardest part but I am so relieved to have found one!

Don't worry, I'm planning our wedding for Friday July 25th 2014 too, and I'm SOOOOO torn between three resorts. I've already booked my date and time and reception site at the Grand Palladium in Jamaica, but now I'm very concerned it'll be too pricey for my guests despite the fact that I adore the resort so very much. So I've been considering the Grand Palladium in the Mayan, and the Grand Riviera Princess also in Mexico. Does anyone have any ideas about any of these resorts.

I'm also glad that I'm not the only one whose planning so far ahead. I thought I was crazy, but its good to know I'm not alone. msnwink.gif

Hello

 

So.... I'm new on here.

We will be getting married in July of 2014 at Beaches, Negril in Jamaica.

Most of our family is coming from FL/GA so thankfully the flight will not be so expensive. :)

I see that so many of you have already started on the list... but I haven't done much at all.

 

 

-Picked resort (but haven't reserved yet

-Picked the STD / Invites design

-Created guest list

 

How soon should I reserve resort...?

Are you using TA or dealing with the resort WC directly?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
