I thought you were. I have a question for you. Did you find out about your baggage allowance. I'm waitng to hear back from my TA but I'm thinking because we were upgraded we get two pieces of luggage each (for Matt and I). I just wondered if anyone else was offered this.

If I read it correctly you can have 2 bags of a combined weight of 20kg for "regular" passengers. If you were upgraded you get an additional 20kg between the bride and groom... Obviously I'd double check with the TA, but I am 99% certain.

Thanks Carina and Kay. That helps a lot. I will wait to see what the TA has to say. I just didn't know if you guys were clear on the policy. Thanks again for the help!

Hope this helps.

We are flying Transat and we upgraded to Club Class so we get 88 kilos each... I actually think that it is a little ridiculous, but I haven't packed yet so we will see, also one of my Bridesmaids and her husband are flying Club as well so there is more weight there if I need it!

7 days unit we leave, and in about an hour only 3 more working days and I will be on holidays!

alley08- Thanks for your update about the awesome finds at Creative Bag...I think I will need to check this place out as I was also considering using the burlap table runners. We are also flying Sunwing and I was told that we would be upgraded to the Elite Plus section which includes an extra 10kg per person for both me & my fiance. Good luck with everything!! PS. We get married exactly 3 months today! YAY! :) - April

I can't upload my pictures. I think it was user error. I'll try to take more pics tonight and post tomorrow.

Definitely check it out. Some of the prices are so good it's hard to leave the stuff there. Hopefully you find something useful.

Thanks for your info that's great.

Hopefully one of us can post a review with any tips and pointers before you leave.

Good luck to you too! Glad you are joining us on this forum. It's the best.

JOLENE - I can't believe it's only 7 days away! Good luck with everything. I can't wait to see the pictures! Have a blast and make sure you don't disappear after you are back. Come back to us. lol

If you don't mind letting me know how you made out with the weight of your bag that would be awesome. I imagine I'll be fine but I should probably stop buying things just to be sure lol

Are you already to leave? Besides your packing

Hey ladies....just an FYI for Cuba Brides....I've hired a company in Cuba to attend at the resort to decorate the ceremony area as well as the reception area...they cover everything from linens, drapery and flowers to match your colours.  The cost is fairly reasonable given what they do.  They are primarily out of Havana but will travel to Varadero for a fee.

Here is a link to their website:  http://www.airedefiestacuba.com/en and they are also on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/airedefiestacuba .

I'm very excited!!!  Only 10 days before we board our flight :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
