I ordered my starfish online then I bought the pins at Michaels and made them into them Boutonniereâ€s myself...I had 100 so ALL the men got one and I put some on my cake as well.

I was planning on using a photobook with our engagement photos... I actually have it created already just waiting to see what other ideas there might be.

I made a 2014 Calendar with our Engagement pictures then made a sign asking people to sign on their date of birth! I am going to buy birthday cards and in 2014 will send everyone a b-day card! :-) Thought it was a cute idea and everyone LOVED it, thought it was so original.  Also really light for travelling...here is a picture

The little viles to the left are filled with sand from Varadero beach and are the table seating.  Everyone also loved those :-)

Such a cute idea for the guestbook! I was actually just looking at making a 2014 calendar with our engagement photos! Shutterfly had free ones lol! I guess it wouldn't work quite as well though since our wedding is in the middle of the year lol! But I love it! And your bottles with sand was also an awesome idea! I wish I had of thought of that before I bought escort cards... although we still could use the escort cards and attach the bottle filled with sand which would help me with problem of the cards blowing away! Where did you find the little bottles?

Lydia one other question - did people bring you cards? I was debating whether I should bring something for cards but I don't want to assume people will and have something there and then no one does and then they feel bad or anything?

I ordered them on ebay...how many in your group? I have some left (think about 12, but I'll have to check).

Oh awesome! Maybe I'll just bring a nice gift bag or something to have there in case! I have about 40 people so far going so I'll need a few more then that, but I did check on ebay and you can get them pretty cheap! Thanks!

I know that I was married at another resort but I think that Cuba has weddings down to an art... don't stress about anything they will figure out something to fix anything, when we woke up it was pouring... but it stopped with plenty of time for the ceremony and then started again after dinner so they moved our reception into the disco and we had just as much fun there! the one biggest piece of advise that I can give is don't sweat the small stuff and take it all in the day went by in a blur!!!

Jolene, I was patiently waiting for you to post!  Congratulations and I totally agree with your advice. Don't sweat the small stuff and try to take it all in...I'm so glad that I had a videographer because I was overwhelmed with emotion on the day so it is a bit of a blur.        LOVE the picture of you guys laughing xo

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
