They responded to me via email rather quickly...here is their email address:  comercial@airedefiestacuba.com  I think that Thursday's are their  "office" days...as that is when they respond almost immediately.  hahahaha good memory!  I sure did... the resort didn't offer much for décor for either the ceremony or the reception...I was contemplating on buying more decoration items, drapery etc., taking it all down yada yada  so I tossed back and forth as to whether I wanted less formal or more formal décor and getting stressed about it.... ....I decided on more formal and went with Aire De Fiesta.  I'm really looking forward it and think I made the right choice.  I definitely feel more comfortable about the decor and my stress is gone, lol. Ohh that's awesome! I think it is going to look great! I definitely wanted to look into their services but like I said was really disappointed when they didn't respond and now I have chair sashes and I know the resort has coral drapery that will work perfectly and I already purchased everything for the centerpieces so I don't think it would really be worth it now... but I am very excited to hear how it goes with them and can't wait to see how it all turns out! Although I am sure its going to be amazing! I am also happy to know that there is a company in Cuba that provides the service! I just wish I had of seen it earlier and that they had replied more quickly!

Lydia - that stuff looks great. I can't wait to see what your set up will look like. The countdown is on.......good luck with everything I'm sure it will be beautiful. Travel safe :) Here is some of the stuff I purchased at Creative bag. I have yet to put lace down the middle of my runners (the last picture is an idea of what I'm hoping they will look like) and yet to decorate my centerpieces. I made my starfish caketoppers. The picture does not do them justice but you will get the idea. Can't wait to put it all together. Hopefully that happens soon. LL LL LL LL LL LL LL LL
Alley I love all this! Its going to look so amazing once its all put together!

Thanks so much everyone. I can't wait to start putting it all together. That will have to take place after the jack and jill. Just over a week away. After that is over I can get down to some serious business. Lots to do but I'm looking forward to seeing it all come together.

Awesome! Welcome to the thread!! What day are you getting married in may? I am may 5th! I'd definitely love to hear any advice/information you can get when you visit with the wedding panner!
. Back from Cuba! Our wedding is May 2nd @ 5. I Met with Giselle while we were there, apparently they have a bunch of decorations to choose from there from what people leave behind, so make sure to ask if you need some extra stuff when you're there. Also, the spa terrace isn't windy unless its windy out. Also they have a decorating team there that will take care of everything for you as long as you can bring pictures and stuff of how you want things placed. The resort is beautiful. We also spoke with the manager at the riu who was there from Spain on a three month overhaul trip, and he explained how/why some resorts have better food than others. There are three tourist groups that hotel belong to, gaviota, Cubacan and one other one I forget. Anyways if they belong to gaviota, they are only allowed to use local products, the other two may import. Luckily ILA is allowed to import, and it shows in the food quality from when we did the walk through. Where are you guys doing the dinners? And are you booking a party?

Oh this is great news to hear!!! Hmmm I wonder if we should bring fans then for the spa terrace in case it isn't windy? I am planning on having my dinner at the palapas... I hope its what I envision since I've never been there before and then we have the disco booked afterwards for the private party. What are your plans now that you have been there?

Happy Saturday Ladies,

I have been busy planning our stag and doe, it is going well.  I made these shirts for the stag and doe, still have to make the men's.

I have also been busy getting stuff for the wedding.  I got 50 of these cups from Dollarama (we take these exact cups every year with us to Cuba)  So we bought one for each guest, I am going to personalize them for each guest somehow.

I got them in a variety of colours, $2/each.

I went to creative bag in Missisagua today and didn't find anything :( They only have sand in the summer, so I have to order it online if I would like it.  I have some sand from Michaels, but not the exact colours I wanted.  So we will see...

How is everyone doing?

Thanks Kay.

I'm sad creative bag didn't work out for you. Hopefully you will find what you are looking for and if not I'm sure what you have is great.

Those shirts are awesome. That's one thing I'm sad we are missing. Hopefully I can make some name tags or something so people will know who my "peeps" are. lol

When is your jack and jill?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
