Yeah that's what I will probably end up doing! I normally do tan before I go because I am pretty fair skinned but am trying not to tan now because its so bad for the skin, but I think this is the one time I am going to have to just do it otherwise my photos will be horrendous with not just tan lines but burn lines haha!

I have never gotten a spray tan before ... but maybe pre-tanning will help you, also suggest wearing a strapless bathing suit to avoid tan lines!

How is everyone doing? I feel like we haven't spoke in a while.  I am busy planning our stag and doe, yes we are now having one, again, FI got his way :D

We leave on November 11 @ 9:30am, I know I cannot believe that a year has gone by so quick... it is really starting to be real now, all of our guests are super excited and people cant stop talking about it, it is going to be so, so much fun!

I am not 100% sure I know I am ready I have everything that I need and I am organized, just have to pack! But as soon as I sleep I am having nightmares that everything that can go wrong does... even things that I know will be fine, and seriously it is what it is I am not worried at all, but my subconscious apparently cant stop worrying about it so hence the no sleep or very, very little!

I am done work a week tomorrow and then Friday am scheduled to run around getting poked and waxed and then Sunday there is a group of about 10 of us girls that are going in for a kind of nail party so that will be a lot of fun!!!!!!

Don't worry I will make sure that I am back to post pictures and have advice and tell you girls all about it, I know why people have babies after they get married I am not sure what I am going to do with all of my free time! LOL

Ohhhmg goodness!!! The 11th that's sooooooo close!!! I wouldn't be sleeping either! I have been having nightmares since I started planning lo! I can't even imagine what I'll be like getting close to the wedding lol! I am glad to hear everything is all done and now you just have the fun stuff left!

I also keep thinking what am I going to do with all my time once this is over? I told my FI I would start planning on babies and the nursery lol! We do plan on having babies at some point but as of right now not sure when... depends on whether I go to school or not... kind of scary to even be thinking about it lol!

Anyway I cannot wait to see all your photos and hear all about your trip and the wedding!!!

Hey ladies!

I really haven't been great about coming on here consistently even though I joined months ago as soon as we decided on the ILA as our resort. I have however found some time to read most of the posts and they've all been so helpful! I can't believe how fast time is flying...we get married Feb 4th! What is everyone doing for gifts for their guests? I'm torn on a few ideas, although I seem to keep coming back to personalized sunglasses...I think it would be really fun to do a group shot on the beach! LOL Any suggestions? Also, is anyone planning a catamaran excursion for their group? If so, are you booking ahead with your TA or waiting until you get down there? Any info is greatly appreciated! :)

I am planning on getting every couple/single a bottle of Havana Club Rum as their gift. I am guessing most people would want some (and for those who don't drink I am getting coffee). We are planning a group excursion to Havana for our group but we're just booking that through our photographer Alex, who is going to get us two 16 passenger vans and a tour guide so it should be great and a lot cheaper then the regular tour!

We sent everyone luggage tags... I wanted to do something more but the fact that we have 50 people coming is a little overwhelming when it comes to getting them all something! Congrats on picking the resort that was one of the hardest things for me!

My original plan for favours were fans.... we will see, I don't know if they will be completely useless.  We are bringing a reusable cup down for everyone, hoping the front desk will give them out as people check in.  I have to email Giselle about this.....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
