oh no, It wasn't meant to give you a heart attack, lol ...feel free to copy and paste my list or I can send it to you on WORD format  and then you can take out what isn't relevant to you...sorry

hahhaa no its ok! I feel on track for things so I am not too worried... I definitely will copy and paste it! I want to try and get stuff done earlier rather then later so I am not stressing out close to the wedding... I've already had wedding nightmares that I've forgotten lots of things lol!

Lydia,

Don't worry its a good thing, I think most people would love to be that organized and with the size of your group you have to be! Plus I think most of the ladies here would kill for a destination wedding to do list! Great Job.

Of course! That's what this forum is for! Sharing ideas! Yeah I think I paid like 17$ total for 100 of them! I really think it will be a nice touch! I hope guests like them as much as I do! Plus it was fun way to use one of our engagement photos!

Thank you Carina. A nice touch for sure. Great idea! Your (and mine) guests will love them, I'm sure of it :)

Definitely! I've read other lists - but they just have the major stuff on it that I've already done... its those little things/ personal touches for the wedding for destination weddings that we forget about!

Our final payment is done we have 45 people paid in full 39 from Calgary, 6 from Toronto and then I had 4 last minute not with my booking that are coming from Winnipeg, it is pretty exciting I really didn't expect to have so many people coming, and now I am really excited its all paid for and there are is like 53 days left before we go... I am also excited because we are going club class which I have never done before so that is awesome and we started to do some other trip related shopping which is awesome because it isn't wedding related it is for us, some sunscreen and we bought some tanning minutes... it is so close now I cannot believe that we have been planning for well over 10 months YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!:smile123:

I can't believe how close you are!!!! Awesome that you are getting other non wedding related things done. Those are important too!

Who are you flying with?

Also did you end up having people put a deposit down but back out and not pay in full. I had a nightmare about that the other night. I'm sure it won't be the case just looking for you to put my nightmares to rest! lol

Hey Lydia. That list is awesome!!! LOVE IT

We are using the Carlingview hotel as well! They gave us a really great group rate. Much cheaper than park and fly!

Also my aunt and uncle live on rice lake. I practically grew up there. What a small world!

We are flying Air Transat... they had the best price which is great because I am not a big fan of Sunwing after our trip to Mexico last year!

we had 4 people cancel on us the week that the final payment was due... so yes they had paid a deposit and then life happened and they couldn't go, but I think that for the most part if people pay a deposit they are probably pretty serious about coming for us it was $300 a couple so not a huge amount but also not a small amount!

Hi ladies,

Went for my final dress fitting and bridesmaid dresses were in.  Everything went great!  Bridesmaids didn't need any alterations and my bustle was done perfectly :)  I highly suggest Windsor Bridal in Toronto for dress or alterations!  Here is a pic with some of my gals, don't mind my face in the picture, I was laughing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
