It can be tied onto the round wood supports where the stairs are going up to the palapas! I think that will look great! Or I may just use A, B, C... that way its not as much work... although that might be too boring... so I don't know hahaha!

You ladies could label the palapas with the wooden letters from Michaels or walmart etc. & paint the letters for each palapa in your wedding colour(s).  Also another thought would be to buy the fancy little chalk board signs from Michaels and label each palapas as theme's such as love, romance, forever (something like that) OR Cuba themed....

As for an update from me, I am being a HUGE slacker... and I really need to be getting small stuff done.

- finishing bouquet, bouts and corsages

- finishing my sand ceremony frame

- Guest book banner & getting the Guest book "page" printed somewhere

- I have some small stuff to buy still like;  stamp pads for guest book, sand for sand ceremony, cups for guests favours, cake topper... and I know there is more

- FI and groomsmen attire

- Bridesmaid gifts ??? HELP

On another note my final dress fitting is on September 14th & the bridesmaid dresses will be ready for p/u that date as well.

I haven't received my boudoir pictures back yet, I am kind of annoyed as she said 2 weeks and its been 3 1/2 ( yes Im being inpatient lol)  But this is something I want to get done!

No stress, I still have 67 days until I leave and everything in my opinion is coming together... its just getting people to make sure that they pay by the deadline, and actually over the past few days every time someone pays they send one of us a text of Facebook message, so it has been working out very well! And by next Friday there really isn't much more that can be done so I am just going to sit tight and hope that it all works out and that my TA doesn't have to work to much... although she has been awesome I haven't had to do anything which has been great!

For my bridesmaid gifts I got them each a starfish necklace to wear on the big day, I am getting them a tank top with Bridesmaid on it, then if I can find on sale beach bags I am going to get each one of them one and fill it with mags, and snacks and other stuff they may not think of bringing for the beach!

Oh I also LOVE the idea of doing the wood letters from Michaels you could still do A B C and paint them that would look awesome!

I got my girls "beach" bags from Old Navy back in May or June when they were on sale! I got them for about 8$! And I am filling them with the bridesmaid/MOH tanks I made, a pair of flip flops, lip balm with SPF, and maybe a few other trinkets. I have these little compact mirrors I got from Sephora for buying 50$ gift cards, so I might add those (mostly cause I don't need 3 of them) and who doesn't love a little compact! I feel like its not a lot but I don't know what else to get. And then I am going to add a handwritten note to each of them. And Jolene I am thinking maybe I'll do the wooden letters painted in my colour because it will be super easy and pretty light weight and cost effective. I just worry if I put something together and put a lot of effort and money into it and then what happens if it rains and we can't use our venue, so I'd rather something easy and cheap lol!

I am glad you got your photos back! When we had our engagement photos done she had said it would be 5 weeks and it ended up being over 7 weeks!!! It was worth the wait cause I love my photos so much, but it was sooo hard to wait for them! I am just glad we didn't need to use them for something right away. Seems like you still have stuff to get done, but doesn't seem impossible! I was thinking that you have tons of time to get it all done, but I forgot your wedding is in January and the fall I find always flies by! I bet if you just took a day or two and sat down and just did everything it wouldn't take too long! Also good luck with finding your groom and groomsmen outfits! I hope you are able to find something tonight!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
