I am officially 3 months and 5 days away from leaving!!! (not that I am counting) I sent out my Pre-Travel brochure and Luggage Tags yesterday and we are about a month away from Final Payment.

The Groomsmen's pants came in last week, and we are waiting to hear about the Bridesmaid dresses (hopefully in the next 2 weeks) My Shower is the 17th and FI's Stag is the weekend of the 24th!!! I have a few small DIY projects left plus I am still considering gifts for the bridal party and parents and a few things that I still have to grab (garter, purse, hair flower and wedding band) but other than that I think that I am in good shape!! Wow it has been a long time coming and now with it this close I can actually start to get really excited!!!!

I know I cannot believe that we sent invites and put down our deposit 9 months ago... I can remember thinking then about how far it seemed and yet here we are just around the corner, I am not panicked yet but I am sure that will follow suit in another couple weeks!

No, we are getting married on the terrace.

How are things coming along? Any new updates?

It is nice! :)  Things are good, haven't been doing too much wedding stuff, too busy until September with both jobs.  I am slowly working on the bouquets, 3 more to go....

For some reason, I feel like we have fallen behind and Im going to be scrambling in October-we leave to get stuff done.  But all will work out :)

csho- Funny that you ask. I'm going tonight to try them on. I've tried on a bunch of dresses in the meantime but I'm so excited to try these two particular ones on. Pray to the dress gods for me. I'm hoping one of them is "the one" lol

Kay- The way you work you won't have a problem getting all of your stuff done. Once you are done your second job. I'm excited to see the end product. I've been working on my bouquets. Slowly but surely. I'm having a hard time making them look nice all together. So I might go to the Pickering flea market, there is a lady there that does inexpensive fake flower bouquets (I might have told you about her) I'm going to see if she can take the flowers I have made and make them look pretty all together. lol

Oh that's sooo exciting. I would be nervous too. That's so not my thing. I envy you girls that are doing that. If he's shared any fantasies with you that might be a good route to go. Good luck....you've got this girl!!!

Ohhh I am soooo excited for yoU!! It was so much fun! I wish I could do it again!

Relax - that's my biggest tip I have for you! Also as for picture ideas... I went on pinterest and found photos that I liked and sent them to my photographer, she printed them out and had them there so we could mimic the shots I liked. What my friend and I found was that the ones we liked best on pinterest didn't always work out for us. Like my friend had really really wanted to do photos with a leather jacket and for her they just didn't turn out as great as she had hoped, but I did some with a leather jacket and they were amazing. And I had high hopes for a similar pose that she did and mine didn't turn out as great, but hers were amazing. So what I am getting at here is, go in with an idea of what you'd like but if the photographer is good she'll be able to figure out what poses and lighting will work best for you and no matter what you'll look fantastic! So go in with an open mind, be relaxed and have an awesome time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
