I also just finished the cards I made for my girls! I am so pleased with how they turned out... I am definitely finding my inner crafter nowadays! The colour of the inside isn't quite the colour I wanted and smudged a little stupid Staples! But it will have to do... The blue on my computer was turquoise but it printed in a darker blue I don't like as much. I borrowed the little poem on the inside from a Savs 1027 and adjusted for my girls.

Jolene,

We have decided to look at other resorts in Cuba as we haven't actually booked our trip yet. I am looking into the Iberostar Varadero. My travel agent sent me the Wedding Show Package (as we're going to legally get married in Canada). but it doesn't tell me how many people the dinner includes? Also are there any after dinner options like renting a disco or a beach party? If you have any of this information if you wouldn't mind sending it to me that would be wonderful!

Ok the prices must have gone up, because it now costs 800 CUC for the symbolic ceremony and 1200 CUC for the legal ceremony. What type of an after dinner reception are you having? And do you know if there is like a "gala" set up where they use the white chair covers etc? I know at the Laguna Azul they charge 15 CUC pp for this. It doesn't have any of this information in the package she sent me. $1100 thats awesome... We're leaving from Halifax so it will probably be a little more then that for us.

YAY! That is so exciting.. good luck with the dress hunt! I randomly stumbled upon my dress on Kijiji for $300-brand new with tags.  It had everything I wanted, so my MOH and I went to look at it.  I LOVED IT and still do :)  You will know when its the one... I've tried on a couple of other dresses for fun, and nothing comes closes.

The crazy thing is I want to get my train bustled - I went in to a boutique to see what we could do about this and its going to cost $350 for the alterations :/ CRAZY lol... more than the dress costed me. OH WELL! :)  Do any of you ladies live in the GTA (Toronto) area and know a good boutique where I could get altering done?

CSHO - wow they really turned out great. Super idea to give to your bridesmaids when you ask them to be part of your wedding. I was originally going to ask with a card and bedazzle white old navy flip flops they could wear for the reception since we are getting married  in a gazebo and they will be wearing sandals. I will probably include a pair in the welcome bag since they are light to transport.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
