I know that when I was booking my date the WC at the resort didn't get back to me so finally I went to Iberostar's website and filled in the contact and just told them there that I wanted to get married at the Iberostar Varadero and asked for them to have someone contact me, Then finally I heard from Belkis and ever since the most I have waited for a response has been about 1 or 2 days!!!

Thanks ladies they were pretty easy to do and they look awesome in real life, the color is a little dull in that picture, but anyone I have told about them wants me to make them a pair!

Kay - I have tried both the emails you provided (however the website indicated the contact was Lisset not Giselle).

Csho - I guess I will just wait to hear back. Island time is so nice for vacation but so stressful when wedding planning hahaha.

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies. :)

ps. thos barefoot sandals look so amazing - never even heard of them before. Wow. I'm excited to get and share ideas here too.

Hi Jamdrea,

Lisset was covering mat leave for Giselle up until December - ish, my first contact was with Liseet by email & than Giselle.  We met with Giselle on our site visit to the resort this year, she is amazing.  I hope you hear back from her soon :)

Yes ours is confirmed for January 24, 2014:) there is no deposit or contract. You pay before your wedding when you get to Cuba!

Thats the one nice thing about CUba, is you don't have to put deposits down! Makes it much easier I think!

Kay have you gotten your flowers from Afloral yet?

Ps I was looking on Pinterest and saw a bouquet that was on the BDW pinterest that looked almost exactly like what you are going for in your flower arrangements! Is that where you got the idea? It looked awesome!

Hey Csho!

I am still waiting for my flowers from Afloral... I sent them to my friend in the states and she is sending them to me as it was cheaper that way.  Really? No I didn't get the idea from pinterest, I want to see it though!!!!! add a picture please?  I can't wait to get my the rest of the flowers to make the rest of the bouquets, bout.'s and corsages!! I just dont know what to do with them for 10 months, I dont want to leave them out to get dusty/dirty.  Maybe I will wait till the fall to do them, although I would just like to get them done, incase other stuff comes up. we shall see!  We are leaving earlier than our group, not staying for a honeymoon.  Im pretty sure we are going to do a 2 week trip all over Europe for our honeymoon in late spring or early summer :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
