He goes on and on about himself and the research he has done and doesn't get through his lecture. So we are really behind according to the syllabus. So instead of postponing the midterm he gave it to us with stuff on there that he hasn't taught (yes it was in our book but it could have used some explaining and teaching). So after the test he actually continued on where we left off in the lecture notes and taught us stuff that we just got tested on and I realized I had it wrong. I misunderstood that experimental design, which sucks! teaching it first would have benn helpful!!! Oh well, that's my vent. At least it's done and over with and I can go back to wedding stuff!
OOPS --- apparently I didn't read all the later posts, just your first one! LOL!

I'm sure you did fine --- and you're right, the important thing is it's behind you!

If all you have left to do is name plates and such for the tables, I think you're doing good. Have you made a list of any other details you may be forgetting? We're down to finalizing our playlist (that takes some work but fun that we get to really customize it), finding appropriate undergarments (I'm having bra anxiety because I have no idea what kind I'll go with to make the twins alright in the dress), jewelry and aside from that, I think that's it. <knocking on mdf desk> I think listing it out will be therapeutic for you to see that you probably don't have as much left as you think. How exciting!!!

If you think your BMs will like the bags, go ahead and get them. If not, Susan posted some super cute bags from Target. I ended up buying some for my sisters. They are on sale now for $11. If you order now, you might be able to get them by the 21st. The link is in Susan's thread about all her stuff. Let me know if you need help finding it.

4. For ROR girls, are you tipping Chandlyn, if so how much? Who else are you tipping?

I will only be tipping Chandalyn if she is really helpful for the wedding and recepion. If my family has to pick up any of her slack, I will not.

5. Also for ROR girls, do you know if Mammee Bay has a dress code? My rehearsal dinner will be there and I was wondering if I have to tell the guys to wear pants or if shorts are okay?

I am not sure if there is a dress code.
I hope this helps you. Take a deep breath and enjoy it all.

1. I don't really have jewelry yet. I bought a rhinestone necklace that kinda drops down if you know what I mean. I don't love it but that style looks good with the dress so I aml ooking for jewelry at Macy's today. Other than there where else should I go look? It may be too late for me to order online. Oh yeah and I still need a purse (God this list keeps getting longer!) I'm planning on going to Claire's or one of those stores in the mall. A lot of the times they have nice fake jewelry for proms/weddings.

If you really don't like the way they look, go out shopping and see if anything catches your eye. I'm sure they won't care if the colors don't match exactly though.

3. I ordered white silk satin flip flops with beading from advantage bridal. It turns out they are much whiter than my dress. My dress isn't ivory but I guess it's not pure white either. Once the ceremony is over I am changing into white flip flops that say Just Married on the bottom. So my question is should I try to order new flip flops maybe in silver to match the beading in my dress or just use what I have because you can hardly see them anyway? If you can hardly see them, I wouldn't worry about it.

4. For ROR girls, are you tipping Chandlyn, if so how much? Who else are you tipping? Like Brittney said, I'm only tipping her if she does a good job.

5. Also for ROR girls, do you know if Mammee Bay has a dress code? My rehearsal dinner will be there and I was wondering if I have to tell the guys to wear pants or if shorts are okay? I think at most resorts, there is some sort of a dress code for dinner (long pants etc.), but I'm not sure about RIU.

Any help or advice on these topics would be greatly appreciated!

Hope this helps!

I'd just go to the mall & check everywhere with jewlery! or ask friends/family if they have anything...could be your something borrowed?

Just give them what you have, I'm sure they'll still love them!!

I think you're fine with the flip flops you have.

haha, this is funny. I'm quoting YOUR info booklet on this one (and Mammee Bay is listed under a la carte restaurants in it):

A la Carte Restaurants have dress codes which require men to wear pants and collared shirts (some ala carte restaurants may be slightly more relaxed than others but itâ€s better to come prepared by packing slacks and collared shirts). Women can wear capris, sundresses, etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
