Hi, I'm also getting married at the Fairmont Mayakoba this November and was wondering the same thing. Let me know if you find any further information on Big Bang Productions! By the way, I saw your post regarding Gaia photography. I ended up choosing PlayaWeddings because I like their work and they do photography as well as videography. Happy planning :)

My wife and I just got married at the Banyan Tree resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We are of east indian descent so in our culture, weddings are multi-day events. In total, we had 6 events planned for our wedding weekend. For destination wedding standards, ours would be considered pretty big as we had 150 of our closest family and friends in attendance. The music was a huge part of all of our events as it is a huge part of our culture. Dulce Gomez from Big Bang Productions is absolutely amazing at what she does. Outside of the standard DJ package, she coordinated several other pieces of entertainment including a percussionist, a 4 person band and a dhol player for our traditional indian wedding ceremony. She also orchestrated a variety of indian and english songs to be played at all of these events - definitely not an easy feat for someone that doesnt know the language or culture! My wife and I, not to mention all of our guests were so incredibly pleased with all the entertainment she arranged.

We would recommend Big Bang Productions to anyone that is having a destination wedding in this area. The prices are resonable, the service is unpararelled and the outcome was spectacular. It is not worth going elsewhere! The entertainment, being one of the biggest items people remember from a wedding can either make or break your events. Big Bang definitely made our event!

My wife and I just got married at the Viceroy Riviera Maya. We hired Big Bang for DJ, Photo Booth and Fire Show services. All three were huge hits. They were very easy to work with and DJ Dulce was a very good DJ. She knew how top get everybody dancing. Everything went off without a hitch. I would gladly use them again, and probably add a few more services to the event. Highly recommend!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
