***Photos*** My DIY Invitations are done! Finally!

Recommended Posts

So my DIY invites are finally completed.. I did this in stages that were really dragged out.. i wasnt sure why it took me so long to complete until today when i finished.. i dont think i wanted to finish because now im a little sad that i dont get to work on them anymore :( lol.

Anyways I designed all elements of the invite myself. Our colors are eggplant, silver/grey, coral, and brown. They were all done just in microsoft publisher. I  did a pocketfold invitation instead of a passport or boarding pass because i felt a pocketfold fit in with my vinatge theme a bit better.

I got my kraft pocketfolds from an etsy seller who was amazing!!! I had to buy my supplies from her because i couldn't find kraft pocketfolds anywhere that would ship to canada for a resonable price. So from her i ordered 30 each of the pocketfolds, A7 envelopes and bar 4 envelopes for the reply cards. She sent about 50 of each even though i only paid for 30.. which was so sweet of her.

Anyways this is the invitation design

These are the individual pieces to go into the pocketfold

Here is the pocketfold all put together. The RSVP card is put togther with the envelope and secured with a silver bellyband

The outer belly band is the silver again with an eggplant ribbon and 3 rhinestones placed to the right of the pocketfold flap.

And last is the outer envelope. I took a pic of the only one that didnt have an address as i am just dropping it off to my photographer. It was Jon's idea to address the envelopes with the old typewriter font to go with our vintage theme (he wanted to actually use a typewriter lol!! but we didnt have one) We used our printer to print the addresses which is where having those extra envelopes came in handy because my printer didnt like printing on envelopes and many got ruined, but luckily thatnks to the etsy seller we still had lots! The reply card addresses are done the same.

And now they are ready to send out!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
