Gran Caribe Real 2014 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hey! Congrats to everyone on their engagement! My fiance and I fell in love with the chapel and decided to do the royal catholic wedding package. We are getting married August 2014 and have booked PlayaWeddings to be our photographer and cinematographer. Right now we are working with Katia as our wedding consultant, and so far we have our wedding at 4pm followed by cocktail hour on the beach then reception at the ballroom.

We have just received our save the dates from vista print which we got with a groupon, and planning to get our website up with all our information for our guest!

We are very excited and even thought he have over a year to go I feel it will creep up right before we know it!

Happy planning ladies!

Hello ladies! My FI and I are considering the Gran Caribe for 2014. We would prefer to stay at the Royal because there are just so many negative reviews on the GC; however, we love the chapel. I am getting a bit discouraged with all of the negative reviews from brides on the GC. So many of them have horror stories. Are any of your concerned with this as well? We are only looking at locations with Chapels but many of the locations seem so boring and only built for romance. And I don't want my guests to be bored while they are there lol.

My FI and I are looking at resorts in Mexico for a 2014 wedding. We really love the chapel at Gran Caribe but we are a bit hesitant due to all of the negative reviews that we have read from recent weddings there. We are considering just having the events there and staying at The Royal because the reviews seem to be better for their sister hotel. Are any of you worried as well? My WC really seems to like the El Dorado but the resort seems a bit boring. I think it looks nice and the food seems to be good but it seems to be made for romance and I don't want my guests to be bored lol.

Hey! I'm getting married January 25, 2014. Half our guests will be staying at the GCR and the other half at The Royal. Everyone has already booked their vacations !! I'm working with Estela as my wedding coordinator. I am finding things to be going well so far. I have reserved DJ Doremixx :). I am still trying to decide on a photographer! We will be getting married on the beach at 4 then a cocktail hour in the gazebo and dinner reception just off the gazebo. Just trying to figure out all the other details now like flowers and centrepieces and decorations. Looking forward to following all the upcoming 2014 GCR and Royal brides !!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
