The book was ok. The first couple of chapters are funny and motivating. The authors are basically trying to say that in order to be skinny, you need to be healthy. But in the end, I found the underlining concept of this book was just to promote veganism. And although, I'm sure it is a very healthy way to live, I just can't do it. Giving up all meats, animals and anything that comes from animals is just too much for me to do.

However, there were some good points in the book. For example, the diet coke - it contains aspartame which is no good for you. From what they say in the book, there has never been a study to prove that aspartame is safe for you. And it took something like 8 years for the FDA to approve it - and the circumstances surrounding the approval was very fishy.

So, definitely get the book, it has some good points and I found it very motivating. Beware though, there's a horrifying chapter which graphically describes what goes on in some slaughterhouses. Skip that chapter if it's too much for you.

Yeah, I was reading about it online and it sounded like it really promoted veganism and I know I won't be able to conform to that lifestyle, but it does sound interesting. Maybe I'll pick it up when I get back.

I had a professor who said aspartame clogs your brain, sorto flike a plaque build-up that impedes memory & brain function. It explains why I remember nothing from the semester I drank nothing but Propel!
Only 24 ozs of water down today, I better get slugging

I'm on 2nd day of spark. Having trouble eating breakfast...so then I don't get all of the calories in. I must say it really has me motivated tho! Took a long walk and now getting ready for work. I will try to get in as much water as possible, but it is a late in the day start. I will do it though!

Thanks for posting this Kash! Great idea :) I'm almost done with my water (and I just found this thread so I'm feeling good that today's challenge was so doable for me - lol).

Jen - GET ON YOUR TREADMILL! j/k Even if its just for 15 minutes. Great job with the diet coke! You're doing awesome :)

Ok, so I'm almost done with the 64oz of water. I have about 20 more to go.

Um, still haven't used the new treadmill yet. I know there are no excuses but I did have a busy weekend. I plan on using it tonight for at least 30 minutes. Plus I've been sticking to my target calorie intake all day, and I'm doing good so far. The scale still hasn't moved, but I guess maintaining is better than gaining, righthuh.gif

It's not too much more - you can do it!

OK - So it's 4pm and I'm about 1/2 way there. I find that the best way for me to get so much water in is: I have this huge 50.7 oz. "Smart Water" bottle. I just refill it with the office's water cooler. But if I can get the whole thing down before I leave work I can get the last 14 oz. in at home with dinner.

    • Hello everyone,
Well, this upcoming valentine's day is special for me because I got engaged and planning to spend the day with my fiance. I'm planning to give her an ethical jumpsuit.

Other than that I have been searching the internet for some nice discounted coupons and searched among my friends and found different sites. Now, we are looking forward to that wonderful day. We searched a lot and found out, Escape The City. Orangeville is a great place for a day trip or weekend gateway from Toronto.
Theatre Orangeville is offering a weekend package that includes 2 tickets to a Live performance at the theatre, Premium Overnight Accommodations at Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn and Suites and $75 Downtown Wine and Dine Voucher which is valid at select Downtown restaurants, and Free Entry to the scenic Trails & Bridges of Island Lake.

We are so excited and eagerly waiting for that day.
If anyone has got any other suggestions for the venue, kindly share your thoughts/ideas.
      Thank You!
