I was at a training all last week so I only worked out 2 days. YUCK!! I had been so good for the 2 weeks before that going to the gym 5 days each week. But I just got home from the gym - I did 45 minutes on the stair machine and some light abs. I think I might do a video later.

I have a little over 3 weeks left so I really need to pay attention to my diet. I am 12 days with no soda though!!

Jen - You are totally motivating me to focus. Thanks!!!

Shelley, you'll get there. You had a rough month, last month. And I can totally see getting lazy now that you've changed the wedding date. But trust me, the more you do now, the less you'll have to do later. You can do it!!!! Start small. Sometime like, giving up the soda or doing leg lifts at night. Small changes are what helps get you back on track.

I can't say that my weight loss is a direct relation to getting off diet soda, but I definitely get more water in because of it... and I'm sleeping better! I've been off for almost 2 months now, and I think its a good thing. Very occassionally I'll have a cup of coffee, like once every 2 weeks. I think just getting rid of caffeine is a positive change.

Betsy - congrats on making the decision to start! That's probably the hardest part, making the original committment. I'm sure you'll do awesome and you have plenty of time! Tracking my calories and exercise has been a great motivator to eat healthy and stick with it. I started 2 months ago, and I've lost 11 pounds so far, with a goal of 15-17!

Yeah Betsy!!!! Good for you. It's so great to get new people on this thread who are serious about losing weight and want the motivation.

I worked out again last night (1 hour on the treadmill, 150 crunches and 20 leg lifts with each leg.) But Jen, you're right about that scale thing. I need to stop it. I gained back a half pound today (don't ask me how) and it pissed me off to see it. So starting now, I'm only going to weigh myself on Saturday's (let's see how long this lasts.)

Keep up the good work ladies. And keep drinking that water!!!!

Jen - you will definitely thank yourself for staying off the scale. And seriously, make amends with the tape measure! I guarantee that you'll be pleasantly surprised. The initial measurements scared me, but 2 weeks later they were less, and 8 weeks later, I've lost 2.5" off my waist and 2" off my hips! Even the weeks when the scale didn't move, the tape measure did. I would suggest only measuring twice a month though, as it doesn't change as rapidly as the scale. In any case, it sounds like you're doing great! Stick with it and don't get discouraged!

Force of habit - I weighed myself again this morning. It was only afterwards that I remembered I wasn't suppose to be doing this anymore - only on Saturday's. Oh well. No change in my weight from yesterday so that's ok.

I didn't work out last night. I ended up working late and then I actually did some wedding stuff (bought all the bridal party gifts.) By the time I got home, it was late and I figured since I worked out 4 days in a row, I could take a break.

Jen - I will try the tape measure. On Saturday, after I weight myself, I"ll measure myself too. Then, like you said, I won't do it again for at least 2 weeks and see how I do. Oh boy, I'm scared!!!!

By the way, have I mentioned how much I LOVE the Lean Cuisine Panini's. My goodness, they are soooo good. My favorite is the Steak, cheddar and mushroom. I could eat that one everyday. And it's only 290 calories. YUM!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
