Daily Health Challenge (Spark, WW, everyone!)

Jen - I go back and forth with the treadmill. We have a love-hate relationship. I think I'm honestly just tired. I work shift work and have been on nights this week, which screws with my body.

As a sidenote... I thought this was interesting... I've been dieting for a little less than a month now - eating REALLY well, with an average of 300-400 calorie meals and low carbs (not none - just healthy carbs and no pasta/potatoes). Last night I decided I didn't want a salad. We were going to have grilled chicken, grilled veggies, and baked potatoes. I was REALLY excited about my baked potato... I couldn't even finish half of it! I was so full I felt sick! And I'm not talking about a fattening meal - 400 calories.

Oh boy, what's wrong with mehuh.gif I did NOTHING last night. Well, I do have a cold and I couldn't stop sneezing last night.

I didn't do the lunges or eat the new vegetable (from Sunday's challenge.) However, I did buy brussel sprouts (since I haven't had them since I was a kid.) I will have them tonight, I will do the lunges tonight and I am going to check everything I eat today to make sure there is no added sugar. (This one is going to be tough.) How is everyone else doing?

Ok, so I probably should have planned better for today. But I'm stumped!!! What can I eat (besides fruits and vegetables) that doesn't have added sugarhuh.gif All I've eaten so far today, is a banana. I need some other breakfast ideas. This is hard!!!! And I'm starving.

Well, I totally forgot to do the lunges until I was laying in bed and realized it. lol. But I did the elliptical yesterday and went to yoga this morning so I guess that could make up for it. I have worked out 4 days out of the last 6. I haven't done that in a long time. It feels good.

I didn't even look at today's challenge until after I ate 3 dunkin donuts munchkins smile35.gif But it was only 2 WW points. It is a hard one though. Everything seems to have sugar added. I will do my best for the rest of the day.

Brussel sprouts are goooood. Last week I roasted them with a touch of olive oil and salt and pepper, and they were fantastic! Yum!

I can't help on the sugar thing... I think the key is to make all your own food for the day. The daily challenges aren't working so well for me, but I am following my calories, working out at least 5 times a week, and I feel good. More than the challenges, talking with you ladies is very motivating! Thanks!

I'm off to the gym now - last chance workout since its scale time again tomorrow :)

YUCK!!!!! I always hated brussel sprouts. I love every other vegetable except that one. That's why it was the only "new" vegetable I could get. Let's see how I do with it.

OK so I totally spaced on the challenge for a few days but I think so far I haven't eaten any "added" sugar. I had a yogurt with shredded wheat for breakfast andf a Zone enchilada meal for lunch. So far, so good!

I'm going to make up for the lunges and do those push-ups tonight!

Hey Ladies, sorry I've been so bad with the challenge's this week. But I think I have a good excuse. My sister had a baby yesterday!!!! I have a brand new baby nephew. I was babysitting my niece all day yesterday while my sis and her hubby went to the hospital, so I'm really off on the dieting. But at least I'm still keeping up with the water and not drinking diet coke (16 days now.) I will try to work out and do lunges, crutches, push ups tonight. But my food intake has been horrendous!!! Oops! I will get back on track after the weekend, I promise.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
