Thanks, Jill!

So I went to my WW meeting and weighed in. I lost 0.4 pounds this week but just like everyone else was saying earlier I really thought I would lose more! BUT then I thought of it this way. IF I continued to lose 0.5 pounds per week that means I would be 3 pounds lighter by my HS reunion and at goal weight in 5 months. It sounds like a lot BUT I have been struggling to lose weight my whole LIFE - so what the hell is 5 months? Not that much time really...

I'm trying to be positive!

Keep thinking positively! It also takes several weeks for your body to react to significant changes in diet, exercise, etc. So some people lose weight immediately and then Week 3 or 4 tapers, and vice versa.

Honestly, the My Pet Fat thread really helps me visualize it. If you look at that 1lb replica, you lost half of that in just 7 days. That's pretty amazing in my opinion! I know yall are going to get sick of me posting it, but it really helps put it all in perspective! Here's the link to the website again, I love it. Wake up to it every morning! Scroll down to the 1lb and look at it...GROSS! http://www.mypetfat.com/thetools.asp

And think of it in other ways. How do you feel about yourself? How has your mood been lately? Do you have a bit more bounce in your step? Etc! Also, what helps me is to take my measurements and log on mybodycomp.com and that tracks body fat %, inches, etc so even if that scale isn't moving as quickly as I would like, I can see that I've lost 3" off my waist, etc.

Keep it up! Eventually your body will have to give it up if you're watching calories and exercising!

I went to the gym tonight! the perks of working out of town and living in a hotel-free gym access.

I did 30 min on the eliptical to make up for missing it yesterday and I did the leg lifts.humble.gif

I don't always get 64oz of water but I am still drinking more than i usually do. And no diet coke for 3 days!!! the funny thing is, I had one in my hand today and it actually didn't sound good. I put it back in the fridge.smile29.gif

Great job Jen! i can't believe you already got in both your 30 minutes from yesterday! I wish I could say the same for those fattening oatmeal mini-cookies I just ate ... again if I had only read the back of the panel BEFORE I ate them!

Did my leg lifts last night and 50 lunges (25 each leg) from TammyB's daily challenge the other day. I've been watching my calories very carefully and I'm 10 days Diet Coke free. I do feel less bloated. But the scale isn't really moving. Since losing those 8 pounds on Nutrisystem I've been consistantly going up and down 2 pounds. As of this morning, I'm officially back to the 8 pound loss. Nothing additional. But I feel like my clothes fit better and I do feel healthier. So somethings happening.

I had a busy week so I only used my treadmill twice, but I do plan on using it at least 5 times this coming week.

Brendan and I are going to Benihana tonight so I need to be really careful with what I choose for dinner. All that soy sauce really bloats you.

Hmmm... maybe it's the combo of the two! It depends how you did your leg lifts. If you kept your foot parellel to the floor then you're using your gluts - if you have your toes pointing at the ceiling then you work your quads...

When I was laying on my right side, my right leg was slightly bent and my left leg (the one doing the lifting) was also slightly bent and I think the foot was parallel to the floor. I didn't point my toes at the ceiling. I know my body, if it's hurting me this much today, tomorrow is going to be worse. Oh boy!!!

Brendan's philosophy is that if it's hurting, that means it's working. He's crazy!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
