ok can someone answer a few questions. What does the basic set up include? Are napkins, tableclothes and chair sashes extra? How much extra is for the extra 2 hour reception? Is there anywhere to get cigars? Do you pay for the wedding before or after? how hard was it to  get you weeding decorations and gift bags to get through customs? Thanks for any help.

Hey Cupcake, do you have a particular venue in mind.  If so, it would be helpful to know because every resort/venue will handle these specific items differently and fees will vary.

Assuming OCT = Ocean Turquesa & Coral I would suggest posting this question directly in the dedicated thread if you haven’t already:

Also regarding CUN customs processing of OOT bags and miscellaneous wedding items I would check here:

Obviously I’m not much help since I have a different venue and haven’t gone through the customs process as a bride with her bag of goodies, but these two threads should be very helpful.

great info ChocoTaco7568........with customs, one thing they're concerned with when you have a lot of something (like decorations, for example) is that you're bringing it in to sell. As long as you can convince them it's just for your own personal use at your wedding, there should be no problem.

That being said, this IS Mexico, so a lot also depends on which customs agent you happen to get when checking through customs........like anyplace, really.

All the best with your plans, and best of luck when clearing customs.......you'll do fine :)
