AfricanVenus, one thing you can do is to wear the veil during the ceremony and the birdcage veil at the reception. I like the DT idea and I had no intention of wearing a traditional veil except for my birdcage veil, but now I am thinking maybe I could switch to the birdcage at the reception. We are only getting married once so, why not. I would say regardless of what your parents are saying, go with whatever your heart desire, because they have experienced their day so now it is "YOUR" day you must do you.

I think they're stylish, classy, and still a veil. I'm looking at a tulle birdcage veil to go with the tulle of my dress. My sister says I look like I'm trapped in a mosquito net, and I'm inclined to agree, but it's different than the Russian netting you normally see. I'm also popping it off for the reception so it'll be just about the fascinator later on. And Mr. Tutera is right, as are most moms everywhere: when else do you get to have one? :-D
