Show us your wedding dress!

*Sigh* Ok, here's my wedding dress. I was originally looking for the slim, sleek, beachy, sexy look, but those looked super crappy on me. (I was so disappointed!) I tried this dress on and it made me feel so petite (when I totally am NOT!) LOL!! I'm still getting used to this different silhouette, which could change the tone of my whole wedding! It is a Monique Luo "three tier" organza dress. It was suprising light and airy! All I have is this crappy cell phone shot, but I just found a pic online to show some of the detail. The best part is I got it for $349, so if I find something better, I have options! Whatcha think? a> a>

Hi Jenn, BEAUTIFUL DRESS! This dress has such a beautiful shape and simplicity to it and for that reason, I would say go without the bling. However, the bling is very nicely done, nicely placed so that it balances the dress and fits in the dress' design very naturally so going with the bling is a good option too! Love the flare at the bottom of the dress - my dress does that too though so I might be biased! ;) Good pick :) This is my dress as well! I am doing a blingy belt with mine. Have you tried that?

This is my dress and belt I love it so much totally not what I had pictured myself in but when I tried it on everything just worked so perfectly.  This was mine and all my bridesmaids/mother favorite dress.  I'm glad to have this part or the wedding planning finally done with.  Now just have to wait for it to come in uh 8 months is a long time.

Here are some pictures with me in it. Note the the best pics because the sample dress was a couple sizes to small but you get the effect.  Also this is not the veil since they didn't have the right veil that matched my lace but very close.  I really wanted a lace dress with some kind of strap as I'm busty up top and also wanted a mermaid cut with a fun bottom and this dress was perfect for me.  What do you guys think?

It was amazing and so much more than I could have afforded at a bridal shop. We are getting married at Ponce Inlet Beach next month so I knew the train just wasn't going to work. I took the dress to a local seamstress and they worked some serious magic!!! Not wanting to let the beautiful beading of the train go to waste they made a new modesty panel for behind the corset and a shawl incase it gets chilly. I am SO excited to wear it in just 26 days!! I'll be sure to post better photos after the wedding, these were from my moms cellphone.

Although I do love the mermaid shape, I think the flowers dress is gorgeous! Such pretty details on that dress!

I love the straps of this dress and the belt. It's great for your bust. Can I be honest? I think a lace veil clashes and you should go with a more simple veil without a lace trim but if you want a little something on it, you can get a veil with rhinestones on the trim or rhinestones scattered throughout. My dress was bust like this and had a lot going on. Your dress seems to have a textured change on the bottom. I think the lace on the veil too makes it look so busy and takes away from you. Just my opinion, hope you aren't offended. I love veils so even though I think a flower clip goes great with this dress, I can't discourage you from a veil totally lol. I think they look super in pictures.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
