I love your dress!! I had the same reservations after I purchased my dress...I kept telling my mom it just feels too fancy for a DW. But my sister said It is my day and if i picked a simple dress just because i was worried id be overdressed it would be such a mistake! Brides, no matter where they are getting married, should feel beautiful and you look gorgeous in your dress!!

Oh and i vote long veil!!

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of me in it yet, but this is the dress I picked. NOTHING like what I wanted, walked right past it in the salon! I always envisioned something lacy, but felt great in this one. It looks a lot better on me than on the model (I believe, not to sound vain!) because she's so skinny. But I worry, I didn't want to get a dress that looked sort of like a nightgown? If you know what I mean?

LOVE THE LONG VEIL!!  I totally vote for the long veil.  I think the bird cage is beautiful, but I don't think it goes as well with your dress as the long veil.  Plus the long veil just looks so wedding-ish and romantic (and even beachish)!  LOVE IT!

I agree, my vote is for the long veil.

Your dress is amazing! You look very beautiful! Don't confine yourself to what others might think is appropriate for a beach wedding! Whatever you love and want is appropriate for your beach wedding!

Love the bottom of your dress and agree with what Peach said - I prefer the look of the birdcage, especially if you're going to take it off for the reception.

EmilyT, my 1st instinct/gut reaction is the long veil!  Classic & beautiful!  Regardless, both look fabulous!

Emily, that dress looks fantastic on you and it'll look amazing on the beach!!!  No worries at all.

Personally, I think the bird cage veil is a better option.  The long veil is gorgeous, but it gets lost in the details of the dress.

I honestly love the look of the dressier/more formal wedding gown for DWs; I think they make for a nice contrast and really make the bride 'pop' against the backdrop of the laction. This dress looks awesome on you and  I also vote for a traditional veil but would opt for a fingertip length instead.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
