Ohhh noooo, do not have regret, Dazeydawl!!!!!  I was so taken back by your dress....it actually gave me some regret on mine!  Try it on again if you need to, but I think it is so princess like - eloquent ...unique!!!!!  I think a lot of us brides are thinking too much about our choice of dresses!!!  This must be normal!!!  LOL...follow your gut/intuition - she will never steer you wrong!!!!!

Thanks for the comments on my dress/belt.  You will be happy to hear the belt has won!  Although, since it's paid for I will stick it out with this one!  If it wasn't as pricy as it was I'd maybe buy another and try to sell this, but I will follow my initial gut instinct when I picked it out.  :-)

I say go w/ the belt. Just tie it so you can take it off later on if mother wants a photo of you w/o it. Either way, you look fabulous in the dress and just remember tha you have to be happy with it over all. It is about YOU after all no matter how hard we want to please folks :)

Thank you olive0y1!!!  You are right!  It's what makes the bride happy no matter how hard we try to please our moms and nanny's.  ;-)

After reading the posts the last few weeks, I have noticed a lot of dress regret.  There are so many gorgeous dresses on this thread, but am I the only one who still absolutely 100% love love loves the dress I picked out?!

I haven't had any regret and there are some pretty amazing choices on here!  Anyway, all of you ladies 2nd guessing your 1st choice... put it back on and hopefully all of those wonderful emotions will come rushing back!

So far I have no regret but my dress is not done yet so I don't have it in my hands. lol  So far I am loving it from the progress photos I have seen of it. I am hoping I will feel the same once I try it on again :)

Stunning!!!!!  Your other dress was beautiful, but this dress is amazing on you!!!  Your FI is going to love it!!!  Did you tell him you got a different dress?

I should have said though that I fell in love with my dress in October 2011 and didn't buy it until July 2012 - so I also gave myself time to make sure that it was 100% the one! I also tried on A LOT of other dresses to be absolutely certain.

Although I got a second dress, I actually still love my first dress, just not for my wedding day.  During my first round of trying on dresses I never had a "bride" feeling, and  I thought it was something that most women experience but not all. And i was okay with that since I never considered myself the type of person to get emotional over a wedding dress unless I was actually putting on the day of my wedding. So i went with the dress that I loved and felt fantastic in and thought that was sufficient.  But when my Fi saw this dress on SYTTD  and said it wasn't a great choice for a wedding, it bothered me and created a mental disconnect...I realized I want him to see me as his bride and if I don't feel like one then then there's a problem.  Honestly, if it weren't for this moment, I don't think there would have been a dress #2.

Thanks for the compliment.  Yes, my Fi knows. No, he's not very happy about it, but he understands (he is now a silent observer when SYTTD is on, which really doesn't matter becasue they don't carry the bridal line anyway).  But I agreed to hold off on my TTD dress until i get my frist dress sold. And the more I think about it, I might not even bother with the TTD dress and will just use this one.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
