So, I have a question for the ladies who are close to their wedding date. I went for my first fitting last week and am having some second thoughts. When I bought my dress in September I loved it so much I cried. The woman helping me said my face lit up when I put it on. However, part of me is wondering if I made a mistake! I went with a simple light weight beachy dress. It is one shoulder and has some beading, but nice and flowy! I guess it is not a traditional princess wedding dress and I am thinking maybe I should have done that! I think the other problem was the dress at the fitting was huge and so I couldn't tell what it will really look like until they fix it, but am I crazy? Am I the only one thinking this??!! Help!!

Thanks Everyone for your advice!  I am sure you are all right.  I probably will feel better once it fits me right.  I don't have any pics with me in the dress but here is a pic of the dress online:  (SORRY IT IS SO HUGE!)

I was going with a beachy, flowy feel....

This dress is absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure it is the right one for you! Plus it's perfect for a beachy wedding!! You don't want to be too weighed down by all the fabric in your dress. This looks perfect! When everything comes together on your wedding day you will know that it was the right one, especially considering you cried when you first put it on! So don't second-guess yourself! It's known to happen though, I know, because I second-guessed my non-traditional choice despite walking out of the store smiling till my face hurt when I put down the deposit (I didn't tear up; instead I smiled and laughed all the way to my car). So when I went with my friend to shop for her wedding, I tried on some more traditional ones at her suggestion so that I would know what I might look like in a more traditional wedding dress. I came away knowing that I had made the right choice and to this day, almost 7 months later, I love the choice I made and it makes me want to put the dress back on and get married all over again! It gets hard to envision how the complete picture sometimes when you wait for months for your dress. But like everyone has said, it is a beautiful dress and I'm sure you'll look gorgeous in it!

Thanks ladies!! From what the casting director said season 8 will begin airing June 15 and I will be on Season 9 expected to air late 2012 early 2013. Which is even better considering my wedding isn't until May 2013. smile123.gif

Congratulations on finding your dress!! It is beautiful. I have an appointment to go to Klienfields in 3 weeks. I am not too found of being on TV but just out  of curiosity... Do you have to request to be filmed or do they film everyone then later decide if you want it aired???

Pucca--> Thank you so much for your advice.  I am glad to know I was not the only one out there who had second thoughts.  I think you are absolutely right!  I go for my second fitting tomorrow and am going to do my hair, make up, and put on all of the jewelry so I can get a better idea.  It should fit too!  Congrats on your wedding!  Sounds like you were so happy!  Would love to see the nontraditional dress you chose!

My girlfriend was on the show and they also came to her wedding to film her there.  She applied online and was approved prior to her even showing up.  You have to spend minimum of $1500 on a dress and then after you are approved, they set up your appointment to try on dresses.  It maybe different for all people, but that is what they did for her!  It was after her wedding that it aired (so no one would see the dress before her wedding)!  It was great!  Keep an eye out for her's as a re-run.. she is a stunt model turned lawyer and ended up in the ER the night before her wedding!  It was actually a great episode!  Anyways... good luck!

When I originally bought my wedding dress it has a really long train.  I didn't want a train in the sand, but I also didn't want it to be straight all the way around.  I got my seamstress to make a sweeping train in the back so it was slightly longer then the front.  Here are a few pics of what I mean.

I have a relatively small wedding budget, so it is of utmost importance to me to find deals and save money where ever I can. So ordered my dress at inweddingdress

My dress arrived at my door about a month after I ordered and was wrapped in a paisley bag within a clear plastic bag and folded inside out to protect it though.. It was perfect- great quality and fully lined, the detailing on this dress is really good, and the shape of the train hemline looks very stunning.

(One thing I have to say, after giving my order, they even noticed that my measurements were way off and gave me the chance to rectify. I would greatly appreciate the feedback about the measurements. )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
