Hopefully I did this right, but here is my dress!! I can't wait to wear it!

I went to my first fitting yesterday and the dress fits better than I expected.  I can't wait to finally get to wear it, only 2 more months until my wedding.  Getting excited!!!

Here is my dress story.  5 years ago while my best friend was searching for her wedding dress, and I was helping, I came across a dress I LOVED, but it wasn't quite her style.  3 years ago when helping my sister look for a dress, I showed it to her, but again, it wasn't her style. This year when it was my turn to look for a dress, I decided search for this dress for me!  I quickly found it by google, than started calling bridal stores near me.  The 3rd store I called told me they had it and it was on sale for $99!!  I was on my way out of town and had no time to go and see the dress. I asked if they could hold it for me, but they said they couldn't.  So I decided to buy it over the phone!  $99, I could just resell it if I didn't like it on!  The following week, I went in and tried it on!  I LOVED it!!   And that is the story of how I got my dream dress for $99!

As you can see, it needs alterations!  and those are not my wedding shoes - though they were my Islamic wedding shoes..that's another story and another dress :)

Thanks Sweet Bride 2012!!!  This is so not what i was looking for.  I had always said I was not much into mermaid style....boy was I wrong.  My friend told me that sometimes the dress picks you not the other way around!  This dress made me feel so romantic...I sure hope I wow my Bill!    Did you get find your dress?

oh elissae - you are gorgeous!!!!! that dress is awesome on you. WOOHOO for finding the dress! 

 

not sure it's any consolation - we got engaged in July 2011, and are planning our November 2012 wedding. the time has FLOWN since July to now. I ordered my dress in late November, so I'm hoping I only have 6-8 weeks before mine comes in. 

 

I am sure time will fly for you too! happy planning. cheers.gif

Oh Allie!   Thank you thank you thank you!!!!  The woman at the bridal shop said I was smart to get now since it would be close to 8-10 months until it comes in and that gives me ample time for alterations, fittings, etc.  You are right - I am sure the time will fly by.  Look at you - your wedding is 10 months away!!!!

 

Happy Planning to you, too!  Is it all coming together now?  I have just started!  :-)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
