Hopefully I did this right, but here is my dress!! I can't wait to wear it!

I went to my first fitting yesterday and the dress fits better than I expected.  I can't wait to finally get to wear it, only 2 more months until my wedding.  Getting excited!!!

my very non-traditional dress

 

although i recently found a gown on ebay that i loved and bought it! so now i'm a two dress bride. when it arrives, I'll have to try it on, and if it looks decent, then i'll wear the second one to my wedding (it's more of a bridal dress with a train) and the one above for the reception since it will be easier for me to move around in.

It's by Pronovias - a spanish designer. Pronovias - Vestidos de novia y trajes de novia - Wedding dresses and bridal gowns
I got it at a little bridal store near me in LA, actually it was pretty cheap (for a wedding dress).

Wow. There are so many gorgeous dresses. I wish I could have more than one!

 

Here's a picture of mine. This is just the sample from the store & I've lost about 5 lbs since I ordered it . I won't have my dress for another month or two (when I hope to be another 5 lbs lighter!).

I have been asked this by some people on here and lots of friends and family, so, I just wanted to show you all what I mean. I want to make my dress

Into a halter. I tried on another dress similar and it came with a halter strap, so this is all I want to do to it. Here is the dress I am using as my inspriation for making mine halter. (I hope this works, it would not let me host it cause its too big)

I hope everyone gets what I mean now. lol Its simple, but I like it better than strapless.

I had my first fitting yesterday! I was holding out as long as possible because I wanted to lose a few more pounds, but I just had to get it done. Anyway, here are a couple pics. Sorry for the bad hair and red face- just had an IPL treatment a couple days ago!

I couldn't decide on what kind of bustle to do. I really wanted a French bustle, but I just didn't have confidence that my friends/family would be able to figure out how to bustle it right, so I just went with the regular bustle. one button and loop and it's done! I also had the seamstress make the cathedral part of my veil detachable so after the wedding I can just wear the fingertip blusher as my veil.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
