I purchased my dress online pretty well as soon as we got engaged (and it was 50% off - total $150!!). I have liked it since before I met my groom (4 years ago). I did still go do a day in a couple gallery's, but when I put this one one nothing topped it. My MOH and Mom totally agree that nothing compared to what I found. So happy.

Thanks have you been looking yet for dresses?

Sorry I totally just saw this! Hadn't been on here in a while and I don't get notifications on my phone when I get replies for some reason. I started dress shopping last month and I found my dress this week!

@@AllieH Thanks!  I can't wait for it to come in so I can actually try it on in my size.  Now if only our travel agent would get back to us with our group rate so we could do some legit planning...

I actually just posted this on another dress forum, and just saw this one, too...

I ended up going with something more formal than I had thought I wanted, but it's still flowy and beachy. When I put it on, I just loved it and felt comfortable. I, personally, am not a fan of satin, so I knew I didn't want to go that route. Also, I have a large chest, so I knew I didn't want strapless. This dress has a nice little train too. I also have a mid-length veil with subtle silver beading along the edge and the flower clip for my hair (the beading and stitching is more silver in person). (I have long hair but I plan to wear it back in a loose bun of some sort.) Then I have my glitter shoes (!!!!), which I'll be wearing for the reception.

The short dress is my "back-up" dress. I am trying to be realistic in thinking that I might get overheated being in my dress for 6+ hours, so I wanted to get a cute white dress that I could change into, if need be, and still look like the bride. This one was very reasonably priced, so it was worth it to me to at least have it. I might get a glitzy belt/sash for it.

@@JenniferH114 I like both dresses, it might be a little dressier than some but I think it still fits a DW perfectly :). I also started shopping for something very "beachy", but wen i tried on the more formal dresses I knew I needed to go that route :). Maybe I should think of a short back up dress because I know I'm going to absolutely cook in mine but I want to suck it up because I just love it that much! I saw one today as part of david's bridal new spring collection and it was beautiful, but close to $1000 :S.

PS love those glitter shoes and the hair flower!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
