I had initially posted a link of my dress here however we have had some changes since. Unfortunately (/fortunately) when my first fitting came around, my dress was made 4" too small!! Since I had purchased my original dress, a new Spring line had been released and one caught my eye while I visited the bridal salon. I ended up falling in LOVE with this new dress, and since a new dress had to be made for me anyway, I decided to switch. While I truly loved my first dress, the fabric was of concern. This new dress is everything I loved about the first dress with different (lighter) fabric! I am SO excited. Guess it was meant to be :D

That's one gorgeous dress! OMG I'd be so mad if they made it too small! I'm glad it all worked out for the best though. The material on the new dress looks really light and flowy, I like it and I think it will be perfect for a DW :)

Very pretty!

How did they make it 4 inches too small? Like took it in too much or the sizing was way off? I had a problem with mine coming smaller than the rack dress too but she's taking it out a bit. 4 inches seems like a lot. Are they comping you?

@@calgarybride2015 Thank you! We had sent my measurements and requested size to be manufactured and somehow it literally was cut 4 inches too small! It was my first fitting and I had a panic attack in the fitting room because I could see the size of the dress and the receipt attached to the garment bag stated all the correct measurements but I physically could not get it on properly. I knew I had not gained weight but I could not think of why else this was happening! They eventually got me back in my clothes and remeasured me...same measurements. They measured the dress and realized it was at least 3.5'' off. It had to be sent back to the manufacturer to verify but I received an email back from them that verifies it was 4''. The bridal salon is ensuring everything is taken care of thankfully. It really has been an adventure with my dress.  :)

Wow interesting!! Glad they are working it out. Ya I was a little panicked and upset too but it really hit at my first fitting when the seamstress was scared to zip it up lol. She's taking it out but when you think of taking it out you fear it's just too small and I'll be scrambling last minute to get another one. Ugh! And it's a hard time of year for not indulging some. I try not to think about it so I don't stress too much. Hindsite I would have gotten the size up.

I know. I've been bad lately more with a lack of exercise. The scale is fairly consistent but my clothes feel different :( I've been trying to up my gym time but I'm two months out so time is running out. Oh well crossing fingers.

Here's a picture of my dress (not actually me but you know what I mean). I had originally bought it at the beginning of the year when our original plans was to do a hometown wedding. I kind of wish I waited until now because the dress is now $200 cheaper. I cannot wait to wear my wedding dress!

I purchased my dress online pretty well as soon as we got engaged (and it was 50% off - total $150!!). I have liked it since before I met my groom (4 years ago). I did still go do a day in a couple gallery's, but when I put this one one nothing topped it. My MOH and Mom totally agree that nothing compared to what I found. So happy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
