@@cubanaboliviana thank you! the back is what sold it for me! and I absolutely love the bottom of your dress. I originially was trying to find a stella york dress with a similar bottom but no where around me had one that I could try on. It looks so light weight for july!

  • 2 weeks later...

So I need some help. I think I'm in love.... times 3. I'm so torn. The Allure might be too fru fruy (??) for Mexico. The Crawley I'm not sure I like the closed back even though I love everything else about it and the Picabo I would add the optional cap sleeves to make it a keyhole back because I'm absolutely in love with that style. I know I'm going to do something with colour, either a champagne or a blush but definitely colour.

Comments????? Please????

These are all gorgeous!!! You've got a hard decision ahead of you!!!

Personally, I would go with option 3 just because it seems less poofy of the 3... And I'm not a poofy kinda girl... But no matter which one you choose, I know you'll look beautiful!!!

Most importantly, stay true to your own style, go with something that you can be comfortable in and feel the most beautiful!!

I know this wasn't very much help!!! SORRY! :)

Good LUCK!

I know about the choice! lol No idea what I'm going to do. But I agree about option 3, just adding the keyhole back to it. My wedding dress when we got married was so simple and very plain even though I totally loved it! Since our vow renewal is going to be a celebration of life too I want his jaw to drop! lol I want drama! Now to find it.....

I agree!!! Since you're looking for the WOW factor... #1 or #2... I'm torn! They are so beautiful!! I'm loving the sleeves on #2 and the fitted silhouette is beautiful!! OK I just fell in love with #2!! My vote is on 2!!! Good thing I already paid for my dress in full otherwise, I may have considered switching! LOL!!!

The thing is these aren't the final choices! lol  I'm looking through 4 different designers - Essense, Allure, Mori Lee and David Tutera for Mon Cheri. These 3 are top contenders but it will come down to the trying on, and that again won't be until after the next surgery. No point otherwise. I know I'm leaning towards a couple of styles. The ruffles as long as there is bling! The keyhole back, again with bling. And strapless drop waist. Essense has 2 beautiful ones that are in colour. I figure anything I find I'll probably take a layer of crinoline out of to tone it down and so that it won't be so hot. Plus the fabric for Mexico in October, which usually is still pretty warm. Chiffon is out though!! I got married in chiffon so it's a definite no go!!! Has to be a lot blingier (?)

I have yet to buy my dress. I have went looking a couple of times but it's not the same when I go myself. My fiancé and I just moved to a new province and I don't know many people here. The couple of girls I work with offered to come with me but it won't be the same. I have just known these girls a couple of months really so it just wouldn't feel the same. I am not looking forward to wedding dress shopping so much because of this.

any of you girls have gone by yourselves? just so I know I wouldn't be the only person doing this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
